In the end it was a silly idea wasn't it, the fact I had actually wanted to try was silly, but all in all here I was waiting in a locker room looking at the door waiting, just waiting.

"Rabbit Naire?"

My head swiveled up as I stared at the strangely dressed man before me. The announcer for this place the man behind the magic who had turned what had once been a brawl between titans into a popular event that the masses had been overjoyed when the events were televised into the connected worlds. That was not here nor there, I stood my white jacket around my waist my black shirt hanging loosely in front of my black sports shorts.

"Yeah, that's me."

The announcer smiled, it was the kind of smiles that both made one shudder and want to smile back at the same time. The announcer with his black shades and purple outfit as he reached a hand out offering to shake my hand, I responded in kind shaking the man's hand.

His smile changed turning into a serious one as he released my hand from his.

"normally, we wouldn't let someone under the age of eighteen try out for this considering what this competition is, but whoever you know cared enough to cover it... hope you don't disappoint whoever it is.'

I was annoyed at that, it was the same doubt my sponsor had when I had asked, could I actually pass this test and participate in the competition. It ate at my subconscious, but now here I was smiling and lying with that false face to this man I had listened to all my life from the day I first got to watch the competition.

"I'm ready for this. There isn't much more I could of done to prepare for this… and like you said hope I can do my benefactor right and not embarrass them. "

I was nervous, tired from a lack of sleep and here as I watched the announcer nod and turn to leave wishing me what little luck he could provide me. It was a silly experience, but this was my chance to turn it all around being some nobody from nowhere fast and become a star like the others… like the ones who had joined up earlier in the year and now it was MY turn.

As I heard them call my name to the entrance to the arena to prepare I sighed to myself hoping to calm my nerves I took my jacket and put it on zipping it up and jumping up and down slightly before going out towards the entrance.

I waited silently as I looked out towards the audience on the other side taking in the arena before me as well. Nothing could truly calm him down now as he heard the announcer's voice tears across the arena,

"Ladies and Gentleman, Welcome to the next participant to try and join the ranks of our Battlers… WELCOME RABBIT NAIRE!"

With a smile I walked out raising my hand up my pale skin shining briefly as I stepped onto the whitened stone of the arena floor the crowd erupted in a round of applause and boos a somewhat normal display for those testing into this amazing competition.

The announcer continued as I waited wondering who the first opponent would be, I crouched slightly looking forward as I gulped realizing who it was from a distance, the pink jacket and the dark green boxing gloves had given it away rather quickly, but I couldn't confirm it intill I heard the answers cry,

"And his opponent for his first match The New York Underdog, LITTLE MAC!"
