One-shot
Title: Dear boy…
Disclaimer: I don't own NCIS…………. (That hurts so much to say…)
Note: I was sad so I wrote this on the bus to Uni so its kinda short and emotionally troubled. A sort of reaction to Twilight.
Warning: like I said, a clichéd reaction to twilight
"Looks like the body's been moved" Gibbs observed as he pointed at the smears of blood leading away from the alley.
"Do you think he crawled or was he dragged?" Tony asked whilst looking to Kate who was kneeling over the dead body. She looked up at him and answered his question.
"He was dragged; there are no hand prints or marks that would indicate he crawled." Tony nodded and went back to searching for evidence. It wasn't a nice job since the alley behind the bar wasn't the most sanitary of places. Behind a garbage bin he found a military issued knife covered in blood, this was probably the murder weapon.
"Boss I think we have some prints on the handle." Carefully he deposited it into the small plastic bag and brought it to the car. The case seemed straight forward at the moment. "So, on the security cameras we have Petty Officer Bora arguing with Petty Officer Marsh at the bar. Outside away from cameras we assume Bora leaves first and hides waiting for Marsh to come out. Bora surprises him, and in a fit of rage stabs him with the knife before realising what he's done and calls the police." Tony looked to Kate who shook her head.
"Nice theory Tony but the knife wound isn't very deep, it was a relatively weak thrust that managed to hit an artery. A trained marine would have used more force and precision. And, if Petty officer Bora did kill our friend here, why did he drag him away before calling the police?" Ducky responded to Tony's hypothesis and carefully examined the body once again. "No, there seems to be bruising on his wrists where he was dragged but they're too small to be Petty Officer Bora's." This made Tony sigh, just when he thought they'd have an easy case for once.
"How about the mistress did it?" Kate turned to Tony while pointing to the dead mans left hand. "There's no ring tan even though his file says he's been married for six years."
"You think he's been cheating on his wife, making out that he's single?" Tony smiled, "So he's due back home in a week and his girl on the side wants him to break it off with his wife. He says no and she gets upset. Bora finds out about the affair and tells him he disapproves. Bora and Marsh have been coming to this club every Saturday for two months; chances are this other woman knows that. She waits for Bora to leave then pins the murder on him." Tony turned to Gibbs. "Want to bet that I'm right?" he asked with a grin.
Unfortunately Gibbs wasn't smiling. "How did you know there was no ring tan Dinozzo? You haven't been near the body?" Tony frowned at this. Gibbs' hearing must be going.
"Didn't you hear Kate?"
Gibbs shot Tony a sad smile. "Ducky can you take Tony back to NCIS he's been hallucinating again." Tony was confused and looked to Kate for clarification.
"Hey? Where did Kate go?" he asked. Ducky moved towards Tony placing a comforting hand on his shoulder.
"Tony, dear boy, Kate died four weeks ago…"
