Chapter 1

The sounds of lightning and thunder filled the outside. The noise was like waves of an unforgiving sea. The clouds were as dark as a demon's heart.

However the most curious noise was inside a gargantuan manor, for everyone knew what was about to happen. In the halls were hundreds of hired mercenaries hustling the staff of the manor into the main library where the mercenaries could keep them safer, but everyone knew what was going on.

The man that owned the manor was William Vanderbilt, and everyone knew his ties to almost every organized crime there was ever committed, ever… which was peculiar, seeming as he had the appearance of a man in his upper 20's. No one asked questions, and anyone that did mysteriously went missing. This man was in the smallest room in the manor (even at that you could still fit fifty people comfortably) with one third of the remaining hired mercenaries.

Thirty men where stationed at every exit and entrance which took almost half of the mercenaries. Twenty five men where standing outside the back door where the swimming pool was located, patrolling back and forth waiting for there time to jump into action.

There was a rustle in the nearby shrubs, "Hey, did you hear that?" one of the men inquired of his partner.

"Hear what?"

"Oh, nothin', it was probably some cat."

Soon all twenty five of the men heard this heavenly song, unlike any they have heard before. Their senses began to dull. Six needles projected out of the water of the pool to the men killing six and sending the rest into a dizzying frantic.

At that moment a feminine figure came darting out of the water of the pool throwing six more, ending six more meaningless lives. She landed with such poise and grace, unsheathing a short sword she began slicing and dicing, she methodically cut through everyone, it was as if she was dancing.

Soon all that was left were puddles of blood that were slowly being washed away from the rain and motionless bodies. She walked through the door nonchalantly.

She evaded the other mercenaries with ease, the size of the manor also helped.

She came to the door, she sighed heavily, "escaping me is futile."

Her sword came to life, slashing and cutting like it had a mind of its own. When only the master of the manor was left.

"You have no Idea what your up against little girl," William said in an ever increasing deep voice.

"On the contrary, I know exactly what I am up against, demon!" The girl, with lightning speed, drew her bow and let an arrow fly. William dodged just barely. He began to morph into a huge centipede ripping away have the room.

"Good, A bigger target to HIT!" The girl screamed as she loaded another arrow that she let fly.

This time she hit him and exploded ripping a monstrous hole through him. His wound was too big he fell to the floor, he was defeated by one arrow.

The girl chanted a few words and threw a white piece of paper on the corpse. it slowly melted away and emitted steam as it did.

"That isn't human, what the hell was that," A mercenary spoke these words uneasily

"You will never know," The girl said plainly as she threw a ninja star to his head. The ninja star sunk into his forehead killing him instantly.
