Everyone has had those days that felt like a week has passed by, even though it's only been twenty-four hours. But not everyone has had a second feel like forever, that one moment in time prolonging itself for no reason, perhaps just to make you feel the terror and pain that was forced onto you in that one second. And then your mind keeps replaying what happened, over and over again until it feels like your entire life has revolved around that one second. After a while of sobbing and isolating yourself, you find yourself slowing getting over it. But you can never fully forget that one second. And it changes you.
All it takes is one second. Only one measly second.
One second changed me. If you didn't catch on, I am the protagonist of this particular story. After everything that's happened in the last year or so, I would consider myself the victim instead.
If you would like to read on, then I won't protest. But, perhaps after reading this book, you should burn it. I don't really want anyone else to know about myself except for me.
Remember, this story was real. It did happen to you. Or me. Oh, whatever.
But, don't say I didn't warn you when one of the remaining members of the Skull comes after you.
