Disclaimer: I do not own Doctor Who. If I did I'd be working on that and not this! Plus I'd do a lot because I don't even watch Doctor Who anymore. I've seen part of Clara and that's it. I hate her (no offense Clara) and the new animation!
Anyway, I am back. Yup. My sister wanted me to write, and I said no, it's been long, and she said yes, anyway. So I did, and I have missed it so much it's unreal. I haven't written since summer. Literally, June 29, 2013. And here I am on February 8. Which happens to be one day before my 14th birthday (yay!) but I didn't plan that...!
Anyway, I really hope you like this! I love it and my sister does too!
Rose Tyler gasped, holding her hands against her mouth like she'd basically sworn never to do. She kind of half-spun around in a circle and squealed.
"You didn't!" she exclaimed, squealing again. "You didn't!"
The Doctor assumed his own kind of all-purpose grin and said, as plain as can be, "Yes, I did. Aren't I great?"
"The best!" Rose flung her arms around The Doctor and did a kind of dance before laughing at herself. The Doctor also laughed at her, but she ignored him.
Spanned out in front of Rose, was, well, not much. In fact, to most people, it would be the scene for a very strange dream, maybe even a nightmare. But not to Rose. Not to brave traveler Rose. Or, fine, not to Antarctic-fascinated Rose.
Because in front of Rose was the hugest iceberg she had ever stood on (also the only iceberg she had ever stood on). And scattered over it were penguins. Real, non-zoo penguins. It was all Rose could do to keep from running up to one of them and hugging it.
"Before you get ahead of yourself, don't forget how dangerous the Antarctic is," The Doctor said in a dead serious tone. "There's a good chance we'll die, you know. Things go wrong out here."
Rose rolled her eyes. "You fight off like a million different alien things—or rather WE fight off a million different alien things, because I'm pretty good, you can't contradict it—and you're worried about the Antarctic? Come on."
The Doctor gestured in front of them, like this was proof he was being serious. Then he said, "Look at it. It's clearly deadly out here."
Rose put her hands on her hips, which was somewhat difficult in her triple later intense temperatures goose down coat. "Maybe it is, but not with you. You're telling me you have no plan?"
The Doctor copied her position and repeated in a kind of mimicky voice, "Look at where we are. It's deadly!" Then he went back to his normal position, shrugged, grinned, and added, "Except, I happen to have a plan."
Rose hit him. "What?" she demanded.
"Well, the TARDIS will latch onto the ice, making it safe. And our coats are being powered, so we won't get too cold. We have about half an hour." He winked at Rose and said, "The TARDIS translates. Just a fun fact, but you speak penguin."
Rose squealed again, then giggled. "Thank you," she said, hugging The Doctor again. "It means a lot."
Then she spun around, and, completely forgetting The Doctor, carefully walked towards a penguin, more giggly and excited than she could ever remember being.
Because maybe he was weird, but The Doctor definitely planned good vacations.
Did you like it? I hope so! (I'm never losing that)
Please review! I really just want to say thank you to all of the people who reviewed my stories while I was away though. Every email about a review, ever word, everything helped me come back. My sister, but that too. I've missed this. I love it.
Linley =)
PS: I want to be back for forever! In the morning (because it's like midnight) I'm going to do an update on my profile, so that should say more of you even care!
