How did I end up in this situation? I guess I'm really the only one to blame. I could have stayed away. I didn't have to get involved. I probably would have had to eventually but I still could have held it off for as long as possible. But nope, I just had to ignore that instinct and now I'm running through the woods on a full moon, following a newly changed werewolf pup.
I had known about him since the first day of school, I could smell it on him. I kept my distance not wanting to get involved in something that wasn't my problem. I did start keeping a closer eye on him more than I usually do. I always keep an eye on people. Trust issues, I guess you could say. It helps that I'm basically invisible, I don't even think half my teachers know my name. But that's fine by me, I prefer it that way. People don't see me, it makes it easer to keep and eye and ear out. I could tell you things about people that they wouldn't even write in there diaries.
So I kept an eye on the new werewolf as I still kept my distance. I had enough problems of my own already, I didn't want to get mixed up with the new alpha in town. But here I am anyways, following not to far behind the werewolf pup that broke free of his chains and jumped out his window. I had over heard his friends plans and decided maybe it wouldn't hurt to keep an eye on them tonight. So I followed the fidgety boy to his friends house and camped out in the woods not far, listening in for any problems.
I decided to just follow him rather than stop him, not getting anymore involved than necessary. So I kept just enough distance so he wouldn't notice me and I wouldn't lose sight of him. We soon came up to a parking lot. I watched as he sat on top of a car watching people in other one, talking. Those people being his ex-girlfriend and Jackson Whittemore. They were just talking in his car, I didn't bother listening in, not really caring what they were saying.
I was soon distracted by the roar Scott let out. He took off running for there car, he jumped on top and was probably about to tear it apart but I beat him to it and tackled him to the ground. Guess I'm involved now.
After throwing him down a hill and into the woods, I jumped down after him. He got up and growled at me, him fully transformed. I was only half transformed, being able to go full wolf like my dad could. We stared at each other for a quick second, glowing, golden eyes meeting my glowing, golden eyes. We ran at each other at the same time, me being in full control gave me the upper hand. I punched him in the stomach and grabbed him around the neck from behind.
"Scott! Scott stop!" I figured talking to him may be a way to get him to calm down. I really didn't feel like fighting all night. He broke free of my hold and ran forward, turning around to growl at me again. He charged at me but I was easily able to dodge him while also throwing him to the ground. He got up once more but before he could make a move someone else decided to join our little party.
Deciding he hand it handled for now, I took a few steps back, watching them fight. I'd help if he needed it but he seemed to be doing fine all on his own. After roaring in the kids face, he seemed to gain control as he backed up, not trying to fight anymore.
I stayed back, not trying to get all up in their business, but that didn't stop me from hearing a little of what they said.
"What's happening to me." That one was Scott.
"Exactly what he wants." Other dude answered.
I didn't stick around any longer to hear anything else, wanting to stay out of it as much as possible. So as the other two wolves were distracted, I backed away into the darkness.
Well, I just walked off. Probably didn't look that cool, but who's watching?
I was able to avoid Scott at school for awhile but I guess him eventually catching up to me was inevitable. I saw him approaching me at my locker and immediately turned to walk away but he called out. "Wait." And when I didn't he also said. "Please." And for some reason I did. I stopped walking, not turning around, waiting for him to catch up. When he caught up I didn't turn to look at him I just kept looking strait ahead. I could see him looking at me from the corner of my eye. He obviously didn't know what to say as he kept opening and closing his mouth but no noise came out.
"Are you gonna talk or did you stop me for no reason?" I asked getting impatient.
"Uh, sorry. I don't really know what to say." I turned to look up at him now, sighing. He better not make me late for class.
"Okay then. Conversation over. I have class." I said turning to leave but he grabbed my arm to stop me. I looked down at his hand on my arm then back up at him with a look that made him immediately let go. "Are you gonna talk or are you just trying to make me late?"
"I guess I wanted to say thanks. For the other night, I don't know what I would have done if you hadn't stopped me." I knew that wasn't all he wanted to say, or ask, but really not wanting to be late for class I just a shrugged and turned to leave again. He didn't bother stopping me this time, just called out. "What's your name?"
Avoiding the question, I just waved over my shoulder saying. "Goodbye Scott." And finished my walk to class.
I was walking into the hospital when I felt it, something was off. There was basically no staff around. There was no one around. Furrowing my brows I looked around. I strained my hearing, trying to listen for anything. I heard someone walking around not to far from me so I started walking towards them. They smelled human whoever they were, and familiar. As I got closer I could hear and smell another human, and something else. Another wolf? It wasn't Scott or the guy from the woods, I would be able to recognize there scent. Oh no. I stopped in my tracks as it hit me, the alpha. It's the freaking alpha. I should just leave while I still can. Don't get involved.
But when I recognized the first humans scent as Scotts best friend Stiles. Something else came over my instinct to stay away and I made my way around the corner and punched nurse ratched in the face, knocking her out. "Stiles get behind me." I said not taking my eyes off the alpha. Stiles looked confused but did what I said and stood beside me, not quite behind me.
"That wasn't very nice, she's my nurse." The alpha said in a low calm voice.
"No, she's a psychotic bitch helping you kill people." Came another voice I recognized as the guy from the woods. I gave a quick glance at him at the same time he did. I gave a small nod as to say I had his back and he returned it.
"I wasn't aware that there was another wolf in town." Peter said eyeing me. "I must be rustier than I thought."
"You aren't looking to well either." I said point to my face where his is burned. Derek just ignored our bad excuse for a conversation, not taking his eyes off the alpha.
"You killed Laura." He said in an angry voice. I had no idea who that was but I'm guess she was important to him.
"You think I did that on purpose? Killed one of my own family." The alpha was saying in a much angrier voice as he approached us. Nothing else was said before 'dude from the woods that may or may not be Derek Hale' jumped onto the alpha. He got thrown around a bit and when the alpha was holding him against the wall by his throat, I took that as my chance. Eyes glowing and fangs showing, I ran towards the alpha. I succeeded in knocking his off 'possibly Derek Hale if conversations I've overheard are correct' but he recovered quickly and threw me into a wall. I hit my head hard, so staying on the floor I tried to clear my fuzzy vision. Why was I doing this again? It's not my problem. I should have walked away while I still could.
I saw as the alpha grabbed the beta wolf by the throat and started dragging him down the hall. He dropped him next to his nurse and bent down to get something from her. I was on my feet now, making my way towards them wondering if I'll end up having to go full wolf. I hope not. The two of them were bickering about something, but I couldn't care less what about. I ran up behind the alpha and jumped on his back, clawing him in the neck. I was only able to hold on for a second before he tossed me off like a ragdoll, where I landed on the floor next to the Derek, I think it's safe to say that's who this is.
The alpha was now talking about killing this Laura person and becoming the alpha, but again, I didn't really care. I was focused on the pain I felt in my shoulders from his claws when he threw me off him. When he got closer Derek jumped up and started throwing punches but the alpha dodged them like nothing. When he grabbed one of Derek's fist and started squeezing it is when I finally stood, trying to claw the alphas face only to have him grab my wrist and also squeeze it. He tossed me to the side again and threw beta wolf through some glass or something I wasn't paying to much attention to them right now, I think he broke my wrist. Asshole.
They were distracted, I could probably just leave. But for some reason beyond me, I didn't. I followed them down the hall and into, the morgue? I think. Again I wasn't really paying attention. As I walked in and saw the alphas face now free of burn scars, I couldn't help but say. "Oh look, your still ugly."
"Your like a fly that I just can't swat away." He said with an annoyed look on his face. I gave a low growl, eyes glowing as I started to walk towards him only to stop when Derek held up a hand and told me to stop. And I did for some reason. Why was I listening to him? And why was I even still here?
"Just leave." He told me. I looked at him confused, taking a step back. If he didn't want me here I wasn't about to stay and have tea.
"Well hang on a second Derek." The alpha said. I needed his name. "What's your name?" He asked me. When I didn't answer, still holding my defenses pose, but my eyes going back to their normal silver color, he chuckled. "Stubborn, I like it. Reminds me of someone." When he said the last part he looked over at Derek who was now standing. I also gave a quick glance his way, noticing how his eyes were darting between the two of us.
"Leave her out of this." What was Derek doing? He doesn't even know me. Why should he care?
"You saw her fighting," The alpha was saying to Derek, "And I felt it." I smirked slightly at his hand went up to were his, now heeled, gash marks from my claws were. "She's strong." I honestly think I did a horrible job but hey, I'll take the compliment. He was looking at me again as he continued to make, probably, the most annoying noise I've ever heard come out of his mouth. "She'd be even stronger in a pack." Yeah, sorry dude, I'm gonna have to go with a big fat 'No' on that one. I don't need a pack, I'm fine on my own.
"I'm gonna take a hard pass. But thanks anyways." I said taking another step backwards to the door.
He gave another super annoying chuckle before asking. "Are you sure? Omegas don't last long on there own."
"I've done fine so far, I'll keep doing fine without your psychotic ass."
"How about you think about it. We have some other business to take care of before the nights over. I think you may change your mind." I looked past the alpha and to Derek, he gave me a nod and that was enough for me. I bolted out of that room as fast as I could.
I, again, find myself in one of these situations. Of course my horrible excuse for an Aunt had to be being more bitchy than normal so I decided to go for a walk in the woods to get away from her. And of course I had to stumble upon Derek leading Jackson Whittemore through the woods. What was that about anyways? Probably something to do with the stupid alpha that I've been trying to avoid. My specialty, avoiding things. Well it used to be at least. When they went inside the old, burnt down, house I went around the back and crept inside, curiosity getting the better of me. Good thing I'm not a cat. I was listening with little interest as Derek yelled at Jackson that no one cared about him. Then I hear Scotts voice. I didn't even hear him come in.
They were about to start fighting but then gunshots rang out. When the hell did hunters get here? I heard Derek yelling at Scott to run as I came down a hall or something, towards them. Scott had been shot. He was badly hiding behind something as Derek told him to run from his place by the door. I ran up and grabbed Scott and dragged him up and pushed him the way I came. I turned back to help Derek, for some reason, but he just yelled. "Go! Get out of here, help Scott!" I wasn't about to argue to stay and get shot up myself so I turned and grabbed Scott and we made our way into the woods.
"C'mon Scott." I said in a strained voice as I dragged Scott along. He was almost dead weight now. He wasn't heavy, I could carry him no problem. It was his size. He was a lot bigger than me. As I was readjusting my grip on Scott I heard something. Someone moving towards us. I laid Scott on the ground hovering over him in a protective way. Eyes glowing I growled at the approaching man.
He put his hands up in surrender not seeming at all surprised or scared by my glowing eyes or sharp fangs. "I'm a friend." Now normally that would scream 'Evil dude that can't be trusted' but for some reason it didn't. "Here to help." And I didn't have much of a choice, Scott had been shot with a wolf's bane bullet. I couldn't help him own my own.
So glancing down at Scott then back up to weird dude, I nodded my head moving around Scott so he could come closer. We picked Scott up and carried him out of the woods.
When we arrived at the vet's clinic, the irony almost making me laugh, we moved an unconscious Scott inside and to table. I stood by Scotts head, wiping off his sweat as the vet got the bullet out and started stitching up the wound. Scott soon came to but he wasn't very lucid. "I wouldn't get up just yet." The vet told him after he tried to sit up.
"Where am I."
"You're fine. And I've given you something that should speed up the healing process."
"But you're a vet."
"That's very true. And 90% of the time, I'm mostly treating cats and dogs."
"Mostly?"
"Mostly."
"How are you feeling Scott?" I asked walking around to stand by his side. He was still slightly out of it but I could see the confusion in his eyes.
"Wh-what are you doing here?" I have a sigh and a quick glance at the vet.
"You have no idea how many times I've ask myself that question." I said giving him a small smile.
Scott was dozing off again but before he did he was able to mumble. "I never did get your name." I smiled again taking another glance at the vet.
"Luna, it's Luna." I said too Scott right before he dozed off.
