WARNING! CONTAINS SPOILERS FOR SEASON NINE FINAL!
Disclaimer: I do not own criminal minds.
Watching Blake walk away from his apartment complex left Reid with a deep feeling of sorrow. He knew that she was resigning from the team, she had left his credentials in his bag, and her behaviours had been those of a person who was getting ready to say goodbye. He would miss her on the team, they all would, but spencer knew that she was most connected to him, they shared the love of literature, of knowledge. It was something the others didn't entirely get, and having someone to relate to for the past two years had been nice. But from the second she had called him Ethan, he had known something was wrong. He was sad to see her leave, but happy to know that she was leaving before she burned out. Reid stood in the living room of his small apartment for almost half an hour before his neck began to pain him. He looked out of his window, into the empty street. He opened the wallet in his hand and ran his thumb over the picture inside. With a sigh, Spencer Reid repeated the words he had spoken before, "Goodbye Alex."
A/N: hey guys, so I just finished the season nine final, it had me feeling sick the entire episode, I would have hated for Reid to have died. I know that not the entire fan base liked Blake and I wasn't always sure about her myself, but she still needs to be acknowledged. This is my tribute to another fantastic member of the BAU who has left. Hopefully she will return in future episodes, even just to consult with.
Until next time, Cooey out.
