Heartless. Creatures with no hearts. They search for hearts, hoping to obtain their own. In Wasteland, there are no such creatures even though no one has a heart. The cartoons of Wasteland don't act like heartless do, but some are violent by nature. These heartless creatures are known for traveling throughout various worlds, and I suspect Wasteland may be their next target. For that reason, I have summoned Mickey Mouse back into Wasteland to rid of them. This time, he'll have to use not only paint and thinner to vanquish these creatures, but the keyblade as well.

Mean Street

Mickey had just heard about the heartless from Yen Sid, his old master, and immediately agreed to protect the Wasteland. He was given Yen Sid's paintbrush and was already equipped with his own keyblade. This time Mickey was transported to Mean Street and was told to find Gus and Oswald. Landing on to Mean Street, Mickey sees Horace Horsecollar.

"Hey, Mickey! Didn't think to see you back so soon," Horace says as he walks up to Mickey.

"I know. I wasn't expecting it either. Have you seen Gus or Oswald anywhere?" Mickey asks.

"I think Gus should be with Oswald by the statue here."
"Thanks, Horace."
They wave bye and Mickey goes towards the statue near the screens at the end of Mean Street. Looking around, Mickey noticed how different it looked since the last time he was here. He only saw a portion of it through the mirror and now he was given a chance to really see how different Wasteland had became. Everything was brighter, as if it had been restored with paint, which it had. The other cartoons saw Mickey and waved to him as he walked down the street. Mickey waved back at the forgotten cartoons, still feeling a pang of guilt not being able to truly remember everyone.

Oswald was talking to Gus about being able to fix the screens so they wouldn't be able to break like last time. Then Gus pointed out Mickey, interrupting their conversation.

"Mickey!" Gus yelled happily and flew over to Mickey, giving him a hug.

"Gus!" Mickey said and hugged him back, happy to see an old friend.

"Hey there, Mickey. What brings you back here?" Oswald asks as they pull away from each other.

"Well, I've been ask to protect Wasteland from Heartless," Mickey tells them and they give him a confused look.

"Heartless?" They ask.
"Uhh…well, they're creatures without hearts, but not like you guys! They, uhh, have never been stars or anything and are evil creatures who take the hearts of worlds," Mickey tries to explain. Oswald puts his arm around Mickey.

"Look, Mickey, whatever these 'Heartless' creatures are, I'm pretty sure we can take care of them."
"You don't understand. It's not like the Blot. It's different this time."
"Hey, Mickey, what exactly do these Heartless creatures look like?" Gus asks.

"Well," Mickey starts, thinking of how exactly to describe one, "There are different kinds of heartless. Usually they change depending on the world they try to take the heart from. But, there are some that are everywhere, like Shadows. They're small, black and have yellow eyes, also claws and antenais."
"They sound like some sort of bug," Oswald says, "We can take care of them."
"But-"
"Blotlings!" A cartoon shouts, most likely Horace. His shout came from the entrance of Mean Street. Mickey could see the so called 'Blotlings' from where they're standing.

"Those aren't Blotlings, they're Heartless," Mickey says and whips out his keyblade.

"Whoa! What is that?" Oswald asks.
"Tell you later, here." Mickey tosses the paintbrush to Oswald. "Use it."

"How do you use it?" Oswald asks, but Mickey is already running over to the Heartless.
