                                The Comeback

It was a sunny day and Harry and Hermione were walking to Hagrid's house. Once they were there, they knocked on the door. Ron answered.

"Hermi, Harry!" Ron cried, and then pushed past the duo and ran to the castle.

"What's his problem?" Hermione asked.

"Don't care."

"Harry, he's your best friend!"

"Yeah, well, he hasn't been acting like it lately." Harry said gloomily as they walked into the house and sat on one of Hagrid's couches.

" 'Ello 'ermi and 'arry."

"Hello Hagrid." Hermione said.

"Hi, Hagrid." Harry said, and then, as though having a brain wave, Harry shouted. "Hagrid, why was Ron in here a minute ago?"

"Well that's 'is business." Hagrid answered smartly. Then, as if to change the subject, he handed some of his rock cakes to Hermione and Harry.

"Thanks Hagrid." Hermione said, nearly breaking her teeth on one.

"Thanks Hagrid." Harry said. "But why won't you tell me why Ron was here, it's not like we're going to tell everyone the reason. You're being so unfair."

There was an awkward silence. Sensing this, Hermione stood up.

"We should get going."

"I want to know!" Harry cried.

"Let's go." Hermione said, grabbing Harry and dragging him outside. "Bye Hagrid."

"Bye 'ermione." Hagrid said, pushing the door shut.

"How rude!" Harry exclaimed.

"Maybe he's in love."

"Nah, he would've told me."

"He could be worried about the exams."

"Hermi, they're four months away!"

Harry and Hermione and Harry were in the Gryffindor common room, trying to figure out what was up with Ron. Just then, Ron rushed into the common room, pushing through people. He didn't stop even when Hermione called out to him.

"And hello to you too." Harry grumbled.

"Something is definitely up with him." Hermione said, looking tense.

Then Ron rushed back to where Hermione and Harry were sitting.

"Hermione," he puffed. "There's something I need to tell you. Now."

Hermione stood up. "What?"
