A/N: The title is actually Spanish for "Fear of Spiders". I have no idea if it's accurate, but I got it from a what my friend claims to be a reliable site. Also, that incident actually just happened to me, and somehow, it became inspiration for my very first CSI fanfiction. Or drabble. Whatever.
Oh, and thanks to Riley for reading it head first for me.

Catherine never knew why she was so afraid of spiders now.
When she was young, she used to play with spiders. Not big, hairy tarantulas like the ones in Grissom's office (not that she had minded then), but the skinny ones with long, thin legs. Whenever she sees one swinging across the room or crawling somewhere, she would hold it by one of its leg and then go around scaring people with it.
It worked every single time.
Her friends will practically run for cover whenever they see Catherine coming towards them with one arm stuck out. They knew, they always knew, that Catherine had found a poor spider to play with. Again.
But Catherine never killed them intentionally. Not once at all. After she had her fun, she would always let them go, maybe keeping one or two for a week and feeding them with bread or whatever leftover food, but never more.
Still, at 42, Catherine didn't understand why she was terrified of Grissom's spiders. Cockroaches she knew why, but spiders, she didn't.
Maybe, it was because of that one time. That one, hot July afternoon.
She had caught a spider again, but before she could go anywhere, the spider had fallen to the ground. Catherine had looked at her right hand, but only found a black line hanging from her fingers. She shrieked, not knowing if she had killed the spider.
'Not killed, murdered,' she had thought.
Catherine never touched spiders again.
