"I won't let you go alone." Mulder and Scully embraced in the hallway outside Skinner's office. They held each other tightly, passionately. Scully tried to pull away, but Mulder held her close. "I don't want to let you go." Mulder said sounding as if he were on the verge of tears. "I want you to be safe." She said as tears rolled down her cheeks. After minutes of hugging, they let go and looked in each others eyes. Scully took off her necklace and put it around Mulder's neck. Suddenly everything went black, then there was a flash of bright white light. Scully caught a glimpse of Mulder. "Mulder!" she screamed. It was too late. In blink of an eye, he was gone.

Scully woke up from a fitfull sleep and looked at her clock, it was 2:10 AM. She turned on her side and tried to go back to sleep, but she couldn't. Scully turned on her lamp light and sat up. Staring blankly at the mirror in her bedroom, she absentmindedly reached for the tiny gold cross around her neck, then she remembered she had given it to mulder. Scully looked in the mirror, her eyes red and puffy. She realised she had been crying. Scully got out of bed and walked to the kitchen her hand resting on her protruding belly. Turning on the light switch, suddenly her eyes focused on a small bag on her kitchen counter. "Sunflower seeds." She said to herself smiling.

Sitting on the couch munching on each seed in the bag until salty tears sprung from her eyes. She never wanted anything more than Mulder to be back with her. Remembering the night they professed their love to each other, how all things had led her into his arms. Scully walked over to the window caressing her stomach and looked out at the night sky.
"I will find you Mulder. We will see our child grow up together." She said clearing her throat as she blinked back tears. Scully went back to bed. Later, she was awakened by the phone ringing by her bedside. She picked up the phone immediately, half excepting to hear the familiar husky monotone on the other end. "Hi Dana." Maggie said warmly. "Oh, hi mom." Scully replyed. "What's wrong Dana? You seem a little shaken. Is it morning sickness?" Maggie said worriedly. Scully closed her eyes, her voice full of emotion. "No mom, it's more like morning sadness. I miss Mulder so much."
