A/N: First of all, I only own my characters. I own nothing else. Even the phone conversation isn't mine. I actually ripped it from Bill Engvall, my favorite comedian. So just read on and you'll get what I mean. Also, I suck at comedy, so cut me some slack.

Andromeda should've known that her dad would've done something so stupid to scare all, we mean ALL, her boy (and just guy) friends away. In Lockdown's optics, he was the most important figure in his (thus far) only daughter's life. He wasn't about ready to let another mech take his place…especially if it was a certain arms dealer. And to think it all started with a 2 in the morning comlink call.

"WHO'S GOT A COMLINK IN THE MOUNTAINS?!" Lockdown pressed his comlink, really pissed off, "HELLO?!".

A calm voice he knew all too well answered. "Uh…is Andromeda there?".

"Swindle….if you have a processor in that head of yours, you will hang up this comlink right now!".

Lockdown cut off his comlink. He had woken Shadow.

"Lockdown, you gotta be nice".

"Does that crazy dealer know what time it is? We've been married for almost fourteen stellar cycles and he doesn't seem to catch on that nice stops at midnight. It's 2 in the slagging morning! Do I look like the type who would answer a comlink at two in the morning?".

"No, but what are you gonna do when Swindle comes over?" Shadow asked.

"Oh, I'll know what to do in that case".

What happened was something that almost everyone was expecting. Lockdown told Swindle if he had anything thoughts about hugging or even kissing Andromeda, he'd blast him. Or as he said it: "You're head's gonna be at a really odd angle if you even think about it".

It ended with one thing: Swindle ran out of the ship from Lockdown grabbing the gun mounted on his trophy wall and an argument between father and daughter ending with the same quote by Andromeda.

"Dad, YOU'RE RUINING MY LIFE!!!!".

A/N: How was that? It was my first shot at comedy, and I think it kinda sucked. But my opinion really doesn't matter. R/R please.
