A Twilight Prologue

Twilight fell across the Gerudo Valley and the warriors prepared getting ready to take there revenge on the one unsuspecting forest that supposedly killed there leader the residents of this particular forest sensed that something about this evening was odd and the boy in the green pyjamas would hopefully find out soon. He lay on the forest floor staring at the sunset with a friend of his known as Saria, they took turns playing an extremely addictive tune that she came up with. Eventually they put away their instruments and decided to watch the sky again, through the leaves of the Great Deku Tree everything seemed alive and filled with colour on this Autumn eve.

An orange leaf glided on to the boys head before gliding into the river nearby only to be swept away by the forces of the water. The Kokiri Forest was the home to most of the fairies in Hyrule and the biggest nest of them was in the branches of the Great Deku Tree, in the evening as the sun set the fairies lit up like light-bulbs with wings and painted the sky with more colours then people like us would believe existed. Saria was enlightened by this sight and kissed the boy on the cheek and he blushed more than he ever had in his life.

"Good Night Link."Saria said giggling as she collected her things and walked of back to her house in the Kokiri Village.

"Night Saria!"The boy replied stumbling to his feet and happily walking, almost skipping, home.

"Hey Link,"Called Mido the villages resident bully.

"What is it Mido, your grunts didn't cut your lawn?" Link chuckled not caring if Mido tried to attack him, after all Mido was much smaller than Link and wouldn't have any respect from anyone if he did not have his grunts with him.

"Shut up," Mido snapped "and stay away from Saria, she's mine got it?!"Mido stormed into his house, when Link put his ear to Mido's door he heard angry mumbles on the other side Link laughed as he walked to his house.

At this point I might wish to add that Link's name was not really really "Link" it was actually Link Junior. His father originally made the clothes he wore now except for his hat, which had been in his family for generations.

It was a quite night and nothing could be heard but the occasional flying of an owl or the wind whipping through the trees, as Link lay in his bed he couldn't think of how his life could possibly be better he had good friends a nice house and anything he could possibly need he could make then he thought of the bad things that had happened to him, for instance his parents left him after he was born and he wasn't quite sure where he was from, although many people believed him to be an elf due to his pointed tips on his mark on his left hand though told a different tale,it told of great warriors and mighty beasts, secret symbols and royalty.

Little did he and all of his village know that into the distance armys were being arranged ,trained and equipped for tonight was the night nobody would ever forget ,for tonight was the night that the distant valley would strike!
