Thunder was not something Luna enjoyed. No, it certainly wasn't. She happened to be quite terrified of it. This is why she was curled under her bed in the middle of a terrible thunderstorm. With each crack of thunder, she would flinch. Normally, she would wake up just before the first strike of lightning, but this time she didn't. Luna had no time for a quick silencing charm around her bed.
This is why, halfway across the school, Theodore Nott woke up. You see, Theodore loved Luna. He especially loved Luna quirkiness. And Luna loved Theodore. She loved Theodore because he was different. That's why Luna told Theodore about her only fear, thunder.
Theodore had woken with a start. It was thundering, and Luna was quite afraid of thunder. This is why he hoped out of bed and made his way to the Ravenclaw dorms. He was a frequent visitor there, and he already knew the password. This is why he was able to say it before he reached the painting.
Luna shook again when another thundering roar filled the dorm. It seemed to be getting louder every time, and she certainly didn't like that at all. When she felt a pair of strong arms wrap around her waist and pull her out from underneath the blue bed, she didn't question who it was. Instead she turned and grabbed on to the boy like he was her lifeline. She also didn't question how Theodore managed to get into the girls dorm either. Of course, she never did before either.
When morning came, and the other Ravenclaw girls awoke, they didn't question the lump of Theodore Nott in Loony Lovegood's bed. It seemed to happen every time it thundered, and by now, they were quite use to it. They just assumed he was loony as well.
Ginny also didn't question why her best friend Luna came into breakfast late. She also knew of Luna's fear, and the only thing she did was pass an approving nod towards the Slytherin boy with his hand wrapped around Luna's waist.
A/N: This is the first of 50 oneshots centering on Luna/Theodore. This first prompt I picked was 'Thunder'. The next one is most likely going to be 'helpless'.
