"I'm sorry, what?" Kankuro was worried about his brother, Gaara. He'd been the Kazekage for about two weeks now, and the village was starting to get out of the rut it had been stuck in. It would take a lot more time, but they were starting.

Though Kankuro was starting to worry about his brother. Twice now, he'd mentioned that the merchants should use something called a "camel", and he quite frankly had no clue what he was talking about.

"I said," Gaara continued, "that of the merchants are struggling to get their merchandise across the desert, then they should use camels."

Kankuro winced internally. Maybe Gaara was being overworked. He was only, what? 14? 15? Then again, he of all people should know how to survive politics. Gaara cared a lot about his village. Maybe he was just taking on too much at once.

After that, camels weren't mentioned for more than two months. Kankuro thought that his brother was done with the whole camel thing, but he had another instance a little while later.

They were outside, and Temari was with them. Gaara had just gotten back from a mission along the border, and was filing down his report. Kankuro didn't know why he was writing a report to himself, so he looked over to see what Gaara was writing. He saw something about a camel being caught in the crossroads of a launched kunai and it's target, and stopped. He looked over at Temari, and they both went off to the side of the balcony.

"I'm worried about Gaara," Kankuro said. His sister nodded and he breathed a sigh of relief. So he wasn't the only one that had noticed.

"He was telling me about this thing called a camel yesterday," Temari told him. "He said that he needed to check and make sure that his camel wasn't lost."

Kankuro didn't know what was going on with his brother. They made a plan to follow him around and see if anything came up during their brother's day that even slightly resembled a camel.

Gaara went to go eat at the single ramen stand in Suna, then went back to his office to finish reading all the mission reports.

By the end of the day, they hadn't found anything to suggest the existence of a camel. They did find ample evidence that Gaara liked ramen though. He ate it three times that day. Kankuro thought he'd picked it up from his blonde haired friend, Naruto.

They went to bed that night worried about their brother. They were both woken up to something wet touching their hands. They looked over and saw a big, brown face with droopy lips. Gaara could hear Kankuro's girlish scream from his room. He tried not to kill people now, but that didn't mean he couldn't mess with his older siblings. He went to bed that night listening to Shukaku himself laughing, and he didn't mind. It was a good joke.
