Saw Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows Part Two AGAIN today and the Neville/Luna awesomeness inspired to write more. Just some short drabble, but I might start a multi-chap soon, depends on how soon I finish my Draco/Astoria fic. Enjoy!
Disclaimer: As much as I want to...
Just sitting next to her feels nice. The steady flow of her breathing, the closeness of her bruised body, knowing that her heart is still beating is enough for him.
Neville's wounds aren't so serious anymore, and he takes comfort in the fact that he is alive, that Luna is , he reaches out to take her hand in his. Her hand is so small compared to his, but she's just as strong. He'll admit, sometimes even stronger.
Luna smiles at him because she likes this feeling of love. It's different from anything she's ever experienced, and she gets to share it with Neville Longbottom, a marvelous and brilliant boy.
"I'm happy you didn't die today Neville. I'd be awfully sad if you did." She would miss the boy she loves.
"I'm happy you didn't die either Luna. I love you. You know that right?"
Luna smiles and nods happily. "Can we walk the grounds? I want to see if any Dabberblimps are alive."
"I'd like that." And they set off, trotting through the grass, spotting glimpses of hope that things would return to the way they once were. There were the birds in the trees, singing songs like they always have.
"Beautiful," Luna says dreamily.
Neville agrees with her, but has to add a thought. "So are you."
