Hey
everyone!!! Here it is, my second Harry Potter poem. It's kind of based on the
song "We're a Miracle" by Christina Aguilera, which is in my opinion one of THE
most beautiful songs ever. I guess you could say it's to the "tune" of it, but it's
a poem, sooo….I dunno. =^) I was just listening to it, and it hit me how
beautiful the words are, and I came up with this. This poem is from the point
of view of James and Lily in heaven. The "earth-angels" talked about near the
middle refer to people like Hagrid and Dumbledore, who look after Harry. Kay?
Kay. Well, read on and PLEASE
REVIEW!!!!!!!!
He's a Miracle
Here we are, safe at last
We
sit here in wonder
At
the misfortunes of our past
All
our friends
Will
ask him "Why?"
With
all the history between us,
How
could he kill and lie?
Sirius,
our dear old friend.
Just
know this in your heart:
We
forgive you for your mistake,
From
now until the end.
No
one we know,
Imagined
our son would live.
But
all that matters is that he did.
Our
child, he's a miracle
Meant
to live, and the darkness can't change it
Mountains
will move and oceans shall part
When
they are standing in his way
Our
son down there, he's a miracle
Angels
stand, looking after him
And
heaven shines upon him every day
All
his young life,
He
felt incomplete
No
magic, no love to ease his strife
He
hears not our prayer
Sent
to him every day he draws breath
But
he will defeat the evil, lurking in
its lair
He's
a part of us,
A
part that lives on in our death
Our
child, he's a miracle
Meant
to be, and no one will sway it
Stone
will crumble, and fires will burn
When
he calls upon them
Our
son down there, he's a miracle.
Earth-angels
stand, watching over him
And
we, his parents, look upon him every day
The
chance was so unlikely,
That
he would see the light of another day
All
the stars among the heavens,
Destiny
gave him life this way
Our
child, he's a miracle
Mountains
will move and oceans shall part
When
they are standing in his way
Our
son down there, he's a miracle
Angels
stand, looking after him
And
heaven shines upon him every day
Our
son down there, he's a miracle
