Tied to the wall, unable to move or break free even in her diamond form, Emma stared down the Wolverine. "You have to trust me," she said, maybe even pleaded. But she didn't beg. She did still have pride, despite what the rest of the Inner Circle thought.
One claw came up to her face and hit her cheek. It didn't scratch her. She didn't even flinch, "Gimme one good reason why I shouldn't just leave you right here, Frost."
She didn't need her telepathy to know he had more than enough reason not to trust her. Diamond eyes met his, "Because," she said simply, "I'm the only one that can save her. The other ones, they've doomed us all." She was completely calm in voice, but inside she was seething. Sebastian, that idiot and the rest of the inner circle throwing away their real goal to the wind. Forgetting everything they knew about the Phoenix force and shoving it into her girls. Those girls who likely had no idea exactly what the inner circle had just made them do.
"This world will perish in fire unless you trust me. Please, Logan," she didn't say please that often. He paused and Emma wished like this she could read his mind. But she wasn't dropping this form for a second until she knew how this was going to turn out.
After a long moment claws cut, but not her. She moved away from the wall, still not dropping her diamond form, "We don't have much time."
"Don't you think I know that?" Wolverine snarled in return, "Let's go, Frost. You've got one chance, what do you plan to do with it?"
"Whatever I have to," Emma responded easily. What was her life, to stop the Phoenix Force? What was her life to save billions?
What was her life, to save Scott?
"Even if I die, I will stop this. We only have one chance, after all."
