Disclaimer: Belongs to Horowitz and all that other stuff I'm to bored to write

There's no alibi.

'Cause I've drawn regret from the truth of a thousand lies.

Alex stared out past the rain soaking through him. His mind full of thoughts on, well everything. His life, Jack, Ian, and MI6. Sometimes he just wished it would end. It was just so hard to keep up. The rumors, the hurt, and the lies. He felt like he was drowning in it, it was suffocating him.

So let mercy come and wash away what I've done.

I'll face myself to cross out what I've become.

Erase myself and let go of what I've done.

He looked over to where the boys were playing football in the mud. Happily with no worry in their lives. They could live peacefully while he had to live in the adult world. Forever, he was cursed to live in the life of espionage, lies, distrust, and pain. Never to feel, to live, another happy day in his life. It was torture and trust me he knew torture. He lived it. It was his life.

Put to rest what you thought of me.

While I clean this slate. With the hands of uncertainty.

So let mercy come and wash away what I've done.

Alex walked slowly back to the bank, his mind on how many were lost due to the line of work. John, Helen, Ian, and Jack. All so close to him were brutally ripped away. The spiteful bank loomed ahead of him. Pushing open the doors, he gave a look of distaste to anyone who so much as glanced at him. He climbed into the elevator. The floors whizzed by and no sooner was he at Blunt's office. The doors opened at their own accord. Paying no head to the pale man sitting in the seat behind the desk, Alex walked slowly until he got as close as he could. He dropped a letter on the desk and left. Forever.

I'll face myself to cross out what I've become.

Erase myself and let go of what I've done.

For what I've done.

I start again.

And whatever pain may come today this ends.

I'm forgiving what I've done.

I'll face myself to cross out what I've become.

Erase myself and let go of what I've done.

What I've done

Forgiving what I've done.

Alex Rider walked calmly out of the bank that had ruined his life. Moving past all the familiar streets, it all passed in a blur. It seemed as if time had stopped, but still he kept going on. Alex Rider was free from his old life. It kept no hold on him anymore.
