Hmm.. Started typing and this came out.
Second short fic. I am busy with a longer one, but my computer crashed so I
have to write it again.
Until then I hope you like this one.
Notes: They are not mine! Wish I did.
It is a little short (again)
My Guardian
I can feel her. Although I haven't seen her I know she is there. She whispers soothing words in my ears. I really like to hear them.
No, hearing is not the right word. It is more… I don't know… Feel I think. I mean that she doesn't tell me words you and I know but I can understand it.
When I am hurt she would be there for me. She even listened better than Emma, soothes me more than Shal and is the mother I never really had. I am really grateful I met her the first day I needed her.
It was a dark night. I had settled myself down in a corner of my room, escaping from all the monsters in the dark. Screams and yells filled the air and I couldn't take it any longer. But I didn't know what else to do than to listen to the curses behind my closed door.
She told me in scary nights with her tiny voice full of innocence sweet memories of a time long ago.
I almost lost those memories but she knew how to help me remember nice days. Without her I wouldn't be here you know.
And she is here again. Even after all those years. I look trough a window and see a body on a metal table. She lays so still her blonde hair draped over her shoulder. She looks like a child to me. No, she is a child to me. Nearly sixteen years old. God nobody protected her ever. Nor my parents nor me.
I was never there. I found my sanctuary when she was about four. I never looked back to afraid to meet the monster of my youth again. Never asked for her or wrote a letter to her. I hoped she would forget me like I would forget my childhood.
But she didn't…
And now she is here. Here breathing to shallow her skin to white for a girl her age.
She doesn't deserve this. She did everything to protect me. Even when she was a little girl she protected me. She told me to live my life the way I wanted. I did I guess. But I forgot one important thing. Her life.
And now she came back to me. I found her in a dark alley beaten up. If Brennan didn't stop me I would have knocked the lives out of those creeps who did this to her. I brought her to my sanctuary so that she could spend her last ours with the dad we never had, to feel the bond I have with my brother and sisters here in a home she never had.
And I will always feel sorry for that. In the slow process to forget my past I forgot her.
'but I will never forget you again.'
She smiles at me while her last breath flows trough the air carrying her soothing words forever.
And I know for sure she keeps protecting me where ever she goes. My guardian.
