A/N: Hey I am writing a new story. I am planning on finishing my story Flirtology soon since I'm back in my writing groove. Lol. Please bear with me. My updates will not be periodic but I will try to write as much as I can whenever I can. This will be an Inuyasha story with a mix of Hancock. I love that movie.

Disclaimer: I do not own Inuyasha or Hancock. Damn (snaps fingers).

Chapter One: And the Cycle Comes Round

"So we meet again?"

"I'm afraid so. It has been a long time. I believe the last time we met you where defending me against Naraku. You haven't changed much."

"You really think so?"

A young woman leaned against a tree on her family shrine as she stared at the intruder. Her long silky black hair was pinned back by a white ribbon and her piercing brown eyes narrowed in on her target. The form fitting white dress she wore blew in the gentle breeze giving the uninvited guest a glimpse of her tanned flesh.

"You know the consequences of being near me." Her voice wavered as she recalled all their previous encounters.

"I know."

"Then why did you come?" She asked angrily.

"You know why."

"So you risk both of our lives! I thought you were smarter than that?" She pushed herself away from the tree and walked towards the intruder. As she drew closer a force that was all too familiar drew her towards the being across from her. The force compelled her to submit to her feelings and desires but she couldn't. Not again.

"You must leave. My life was much better of without you in it." Once she was close enough she looked into the persons eyes. They were beautiful golden eyes. The eyes that could make her feel bare to the world and yet she felt comfortable in this beings presence.

"I don't know if I can."

A hand came to rest upon her cheek; a battle scarred hand. She automatically leaned into the caress and closed her eyes. This being has been apart of her for many years. Such an un-escapable fate they had. But she was determined to beat fate and not let it win.

"I am married now." She whispered.

"I know"

"How-"

"I have my ways."

"Then you know that I will not be returning to you?"

"I know."

"Then why are you here?"

"You know why."

"Dammit stop it with the vague answers." She pulled away from the hand resting gently against her cheek. She glared into the golden eyes before her with hate and despair. Those eyes that have captivated her for so long were making her second guess her marriage. Making her yearn for something that could never be. Only pain would greet her in the end. A pain that she had encountered before and did not wish to encounter again.

No answers came forth which further angered the young woman. Turning her back towards the intruder she made her way back towards her house.

"You can't run forever." The smooth masculine voice caused her to stiffen.

"I'm not running." She angrily whispered knowing he would be able to hear her. She picked back up her pace feeling the force that drew her to him become even stronger, wanting her to go back. Once she was safely inside her house she leaned against the front door. Her pulse was racing and her heart was beating erratically from the encounter.

"I hate you so much for doing this to me." She was livid now. Screaming at the top of her lungs to the heavens of how much she hated the man who haunts her everyday. Hot tears ran down her face as she banged the back of her head against the front door.

"I HATE YOU SESSHOUMARU!!!" She yelled again at the top of her lungs.
