This is my first Thor fic so..idk...

Solitary

"Loki...LOKI NO!"

Thor stared after his brother, complete and utter anguish taking over him as he watched the younger man fall into space. His world fell silent. He felt numb. He was vaguely aware that he was being pulled back onto the bridge. Thor kept his eyes locked on the abyss of space, hoping, wishing, that this was yet another of his mischievous brother's tricks, that Loki would reappear and jest "Haha! Fooled you!"...but it was folly, that much he knew. Loki was gone.

"Thor!" his father shook him, "Come!"

"Father...do you not grieve...?"

"Of course I do Thor, but now is not the time to mourn. Come at once, son!"

Thor fell to his knees.

"No...you are unfeeling about this...aren't you?"

Odin sighed, resting a hand on his son's shoulder.

"Thor...surely Loki told you...before..."

"That we were never brothers? That you took him from Jotunheim?" Thor snapped, "What does that matter!? You raised him as your own! You cannot be implying that after all these years you feel nothing towards him!"

"Thor he is a frost gi-"

"He. Is. Your. SON!"

"NO! No Thor, he is not my son!"

"Father," Thor's voice cracked, "Father how can you say this?"

"After what he did? After everything he's done? I did not wish for you to hear this, but I am glad he's d-"

"DON'T! Please, don't, you don't mean that!"

Odin stared harshly at Thor, before turning and leaving his son alone on the bridge. Thor's breath came in shallow gasps, anger, pain, despair, every negative emotion that could be felt, coursing through his veins. He let out a yell, cursing his father, Asgard, Jotunheim...he laid Mjolnir to one side, tensing every muscle in his body as sobs ripped through him, hot tears dripping down his face, mingling with sweat in a salty concoction. He let out another ambiguous, incoherent yell. Breathing deeply, he uncurled his fists, ignoring the sting of sweat seeping into the fresh crescent-shaped cuts on his palms made by his fingernails. Thor raised his head, his face a mask of anger and mourning.

"Brother," he called out into the expanse of nothingness, "If they will not mourn for you...rest assured...that I will never cease..."
