Roles Reversed?

"Circe, somethings wrong with Lord Mortimer, I think he's to consumed with getting revenge on Charlie's band." King Tepes said to his partner in crime. They were in their little castle in the Netherworld. Lord Mortimer insisted that they stay together so nobody gets ambushed like before. Circe was a pretty close call. After Kelly gave the finishing blow, he had thought Circe was dead. She hadn't left his sight since then. "My king, What are you talking about? He's always been like that. That's why he became Lord Mortimer instead of that weak, worthless Paul that he used to be." She tried changing the channel but the remote was dead. She jump started the batteries using her shock. "Woah, that is pretty useful... Anyways i'm just warning you. I think we should ditch him. Hes such a killjoy anyway... Will you join me?" He asked her nonchalantly. He was actually really worried. He could figure out what Beelzebaal would do next but Lord Mortimer? Not so much. "I'm sorry, but I need to finish a few things first. Ask me again after the battle of the bands. My answer may change." She walked away and gave him a smile of assurance. "It'll be okay! Don't worry about me. I'm Fine. Now get ready for your fight."

The fight with Charlie Murder, the band, ended as it always did. They were victorious, while Gore Quaffer lost as always. King Tepes returned to the castle to find the band practicing a new song. It didnt sound right so he grabbed his guitar and started a jam session with his band members. Lord Mortimer stopped them. "No, No, No. Circe, be more, well, electrifying!" We tried the song again and it sounded much better. "That was perfect. Just play it exactly like that at the battle of the bands. Now get some rest. We're heading there shortly..." Lord Mortimer said as their leader. He was the self proclaimed leader, as were most vocalists in bands. Lord Mortimer left and it was just The King and Circe. "Circe, i'm really scared. Can we please go? I don't want to stay any longer. Can you make up your mind?" King Tepes said to her. "I'm sorry, but it's a no. I think I may have fallen for Mortimer." She mumbled that last bit yet didn't know what the impact on King would be. He walked away and didn't even look back.

It was the Battle of the Bands. King T. was deciding whether he should go or not. It was his band and he had a contract, but with Mortimer, who knew what would happen. He decided to go. The band was at their spot waiting for Charlie Murder to show up and Mortimer was yelling at the band telling them what would happen to them if they lost and things like that. He was wayyto obsessed. Charlie murder showed up not a second to early. They were getting ready to play when Gore Quaffer looked at everyone in their own band. "Circe, Light em up." Mortimer whispered. She used her shock power on the other band and right as they were on the ground Circe had a change of heart and said she couldn't do this any more and tried to take off. Mortimer was furious. He gripped his scythe as if he were in battle and King Tepes barely had enough time to react. He jumped in front of Circe at the last millisecond, saving her life at the expense of his own. Charlies band and Mortimer were fighting and He was able to share a goodbye with his Circe. "I'm sorry i wasn't able to save you sooner." With each word he said it was getting harder for him to stay conscious. "Don't go. I'm sorry I didn't listen to you. Please don;t die." Those were all thing that she kept saying to him as his life force drained away until there just wasn't any left to go. He was just dead, in her place. He died a happy man, saved the woman whom he adored.
