My baby is in pain! The hell Shonda?! So I've been missing Mark like crazy and I can't even imagine how Callie is feeling with him being gone and going through this shit!
So Here a little something, it's sets between the cheating and the lawsuit.
A/N: Calzona is not even my otp, don't ship it i'm not against it but as long as Callie is happy it's the only thing that mattered to me. So Shonda fix this shit already!
The sun was shining brightly in the sky and the temperature was perfect. But it completely clashed with Callie's mood and even more with the place that she found herself in. She crossed the green grass that seemed to mock her with its lively color. She kept on walking with a seemingly hesitant pace but she was determined at arrived to her destination.
Callie didn't noticed anything around her, not the blue sky or the radiant flower and even less the chirping birds. The only things that had her attention as the infinite rows of tombstones, she felt a strain in her heart knowing that the name of her best friend laid on one of them.
As the familiar gravestone finally came into her view, Callie's steps faltered. Her breath caught in her throat, she suddenly halted as she brought her hands to her lips as her tears overcame her eyes.
Callie slowly dropped onto her knees, caressing the name marked onto the stone's surface letting out a shaky breath. She took a moment contemplating what to say, what words could be brought up that would convey some kind of comfort?
"Mark… I miss you so much. You should see Sofia she is so big now…" At that moment Callie completely broke down, "Everything is so horrible, just so wrong and you're not here and it's just… I just wish you were here to help me through this even if it's just for you to say something absolutely sexual and inappropriate that would certainly make me laugh." She sniffed and harshly wiped the tears on her face.
"So Arizona and I spilt up 'cause she… huh… She cheated and I couldn't, I just couldn't. And I just need to know, how could this happen to me twice? Is it me?" She said looking up to the still beautiful sky as if looking for an answer. "It has got to be me." She let out whispering bowing her head. "And don't even get me started on work." She stared with a sarcastic chuckle. "It was my sanctuary, where I could escape from everything, it was where I was my best but not anymore." Callie faltered at the thoughts of everything she would have to face due to this lawsuit. She looked around her to the continuous headstones, resting in silence for a moment. "Well, I hope that you're at least in peace wherever you are, I love you and I miss you." She finished after gathering her emotions. Callie stroked for the last time the stone where the dates were carved. Not saying a word, she slowly got up and making her way out of the cemetery not once looking back.
Fin.
