Disclaimer: I do not own or rent the characters of Haven and have no access to the budget or production cost but if I did Duke would have a much small costume budget ^_^ I just like to play with them from time to time!
So you would think growing up in Haven. I would be used to the Troubles. See that's the understatement of the year. But I'm getting ahead of myself.
The thing about Haven is there is always a story under the one your lead to believe. Since I was little there have always been stories told at campfires and sleepovers the strange and sometimes downright weird history of Haven. I was born in the last years of what the elders whisper as the Troubles. I don't know if that makes me lucky that I grow up in a time of peace or if it was a cruel and evil cosmic joke.
My name is Lea and if you're reading this than I guess I did write that book after all. So thanks for looking past the dust jacket.
Things don't change much here so when things do its headline news and the best thing since sliced bread. Most don't realize I'm there not like I'm invisible just overlooked which means I see more than most. When the cracks started to appear I didn't think anything of it just another in a long list of things better left to the professionals. Boy was I so wrong yet so right about that. Looking back I almost wish I had taken that road trip to anywhere but here.
Welcome to Haven Population don't know don't care. Growing up here they either know you or know of you. I fall in the known but rarely seen. But I see the way most are treated here take Nathan he's been here most of his life and most people call him a freak. Like it's his fault he was born with congenital insensitivity to pain or (CIP).Which just means he can't feel well anything. He left for a few years still can't figure why he came back. He's really a nice guy a little rough around the edges but who wouldn't be with the way people talk.
So you would think he would be a hermit and just hide. Yet what does he do he follows in his dad's footsteps and becomes a cop. Can say I didn't see that one coming, I always got the impression he hated his old man. See whenever they were around there would always be ether on the cusp of and argument or at the tail end of one.
