Yes, the title was indeed inspired from the famous Simpsons scene from the episode And Maggie Makes Three. But this fic isn't inspired by the episode. Also keep in mind that this fic was written by a younger sibling (I'm youngest out of 2, 3 if you count my cousin who now lives with us) so yeah. The fanchildren are the only characters I own. Steven Universe and his wife, Connie, were in the hospital. Connie had just given birth to twins girls which they decided to name Ruby & Sapphire after the two Gems that formed Garnet.
"Should we surprise Rosa and the Gems?" Connie asked.
Steven smiled, looking at his newborn daughters. "I think we should. I bet they'll love these two as much as I do already. They both look just like their mother."
Connie giggled. "Steven..."
"What? They really do look like you. Little Ruby and Sapphire are the cutest twins I've ever seen."
"They're the only twins you've ever seen."
Steven looked up at her. "I know that."
Little Sapphire started pulling Connie's long, curly brown hair.
Connie just chuckled. "Sapphire's a playful little thing, huh?" She rubbed her daughter's head. "Go ahead and call Greg, and tell him to bring Rosa and the Gems over here." Rosa, their 2-year-old daughter, was currently being watched over by her uncle Greg. She didn't know that she was no longer an only child.
"Okay." Steven grabbed out his iPhone, dialing his father's number. He waited for an answer. "Hey, Dad?"
"Yes?" Greg asked, Rosa sitting on his lap on the other end.
"Bring Rosa and the others over here. The twins are ready to see the rest of their family." He said.
"Okay then. We'll be there in about 10 minutes." He hung up and immediately told Rosa that they needed to go.
"Where are we going?" The little girl asked.
Greg smiled. "I can't tell you. Your mom and dad have a surprise waiting for you, and the Gems are coming with us."
Rosa jumped up and down. "Yay, a surprise!" The child didn't know what she was expecting, but it certainly wasn't two little twin sisters.
