Chapter 1
Jack Bauer was standing by his car outside the CTU headquarters when he got a call on his cell phone. "Bauer." He said as he answered his phone.
"Dad, I need your help." Jack's daughter said on the other end of the phone.
Jack opened the driver's door of his car and started the engine. "What is the trouble, Kim?" he said as he pulled out of the parking lot.
"It's my daughter, Lacey. She's been kidnapped." Kim said as she started to cry.
"Take it easy, Kim and tell me what happened from the beginning." Jack said as he steered the car towards Kim's house.
"We were playing in the front yard and I went in for just a few minutes and the next time that I went outside, Lacey was nowhere to be found." Kim said as she tried to compose herself.
Jack's blood started to boil as he thought about all of the things that could be happening to his granddaughter. "I'm about to pull into your driveway." He said. He hung up his phone as he pulled into Kim's driveway.
Kim ran over to Jack and hugged him very tightly. "I'm sorry Dad. I didn't know who else to call."
Jack held onto Kim "It's ok, Sweetie. We'll get her back, I promise you. Now what exactly happened before and after you went inside?"
Kim started to cry and Jack led Kim inside her house so Jack could get the full story.
