A Stressful Tale
Prologue
((Sasuke's POV))
It all started because of a weird presence. For months, I had felt a chakra unlike any other beyond the forbidden door known as the entrance to Kakashi's workshop. It felt almost like chakra, only it didn't feel… alive. Like it had been, but it wasn't. The not knowing was driving me insane. I had to find out what it was.
So now, I was inside the workshop. The door hadn't even been locked. It was dark and damp, smelling like a sea-side basement. I could vaguely see, but not well. There were large trays of boxes, which either contained old issues of the obscene series he read, or supplies for missions. Knowing him, it was probably the former instead of the latter.
But the strange chakra was coming from the back of the room, so I headed over there. I detected a faint light, like a distant star, coming from a round black thing. It was also the source of the strange chakra. I looked at it closely. It appeared to be like a bowling ball, black, round, and heavy looking. I was fascinated. Imagine the jutsu to make inanimate objects with chakra! You could have the enemy thinking they were surrounded yet only have one person! It had amazing potential as a weapon.
I picked it up cautiously, looking it over carefully. So deep was my concentration, that the sounds of the people outside faded from me, as well as the extremely musty scent. When the ball went totally black, and then what was around it, I realized that it was doing something to it. Soon I couldn't see anything. I knew I had to drop it, but I couldn't feel my hands, and up to my elbows. Soon, I was totally numb, and the aftertaste of lunch disappeared as well.
Was I dead? No, if I was dead, then I wouldn't be able to think. I wasn't unconscious, either, then. I wondered whether I had fallen over yet, or were my limbs frozen in place? It was weird. An inanimate object had killed me. I was fairly sure I wasn't breathing. Why did I want to again? And shouldn't I be going somewhere? What…
And there I leave you. What do you think it was? (I don't know.) What did it do to him? Is he dead? Will Kakashi find him? And most important of all: When's dinner?...
I'll update soon. Probably later tonight. I already have the main pairing in mind, and it's not Sasu/Naru OR Sasu/Saku!
