This is total crack. Honestly. 250 words on Word. From a prompt. A completely randomized prompt. Never thought I'd write something like this anyway, but whatever. Blame my sleep-deprived, caffeinated mind. Or my lack of anything substantial to do at the moment. Whatever.

TOTAL CRACK, RANDOM PAIRING, MENTIONS OF WEAPONS, Romano's word choice... you have been warned.

"Hey… um…" His mind blanked. What was that kid's name again? "Matteo." Well, he assumed he was right, since the blonde he was addressing turned his head, revealing a bright pair of shimmering indigo eyes.

"A-Antonio?" Those dazzling indigo eyes widened in surprise. Nobody ever remembered who he was outside of a small handful of people, and even they tended to forget every once in a while. He cleared his throat, and tried to play off the surprise evident in his eyes and his normally quiet voice. "What – uh – what's up?"

"I wanted to thank you for letting me borrow the book. It was amazing." The former conquistador returned the copy of The Handmaid's Tale to the young blonde.*

"Oh, no problem, eh? Just ask whenever you wanted to borrow another one." He was just about to turn around and walk away again, when a large, warm hand encircled his wrist.

"Wait. I was wondering something." Warm hazel eyes settled on shimmering indigo orbs. The distance between the two was closing slowly as Antonio raised a tanned hand up to brush away the hair that fell in front of the small Canadian's eyes. His hand accidently brushed against Canada's ahoge, eliciting a shiver from the smaller man.

"Antonio, what are you-" He was silenced by a forceful tug on his curl. "S-st-stop."

It was then that Romano just happened to walk into the hall. "Figlio di puttana!" The outburst was accompanied by a clicking sound. Spain ran… fast as hell.

*OK... so I did partial research in trying to convince myself that they would somehow work, and it turns out that in 2008, Margaret Atwood got an award in Spain for her novels (as well as a handful of other Canadian writers), and that they have similar styles in terms of art, as well as the fact that students from both countries are choosing the other for studies in language and other goodies like that. Well, they also have some of the same economic and political outlooks, but who doesn't? So yeah... just thought that was interesting.
