The water turned red from the blood pouring from his hands, the cut still stinging sharply. Pulling it out from liquid to examine it closer, wincing in silence as he fingers around the wound, it was deep, a stitch or two could be useful to heal it; but he didn't want to mess with that. Looking around the bathroom he spots a blue terry cloth hand towel folded on the third shelf, he picks it up with the unwounded hand and tightly wraps it around the injury, until the tips of his fingers turned blue. That should stop the blood flow, he thinks as turning off the faucet.
"Oh Carey I am so sorry! Are you alright? Do you need anything? What can I do?" Annie pounces towards him as he stepped out from the room her face washed with fear and worry.
"First off this wasn't your fault, I should have been more careful where I stood and more importantly where I placed my hand while someone is chopping food. Second, yes it hurts but I will be fine. You should see the injuries both myself and Clu collected over the years. No I don't need anything thanks for asking. And for what you can do, how about finish making dinner I am pretty hungry."
"Are you sure? I just feel really bad, you know?" Carey smiles, reaching out to pat her the on the shoulder.
"Yeah I known but don't worry about it. K?"
"Kay."
