Iggy held on to my hand tight, refusing to let go. Even though it hurt like hell from all the fighting, I let him. It felt somewhat comforting for him to hold me like that. I guess when your about to die, you don't really think about people squeezing the hell out your hand so much.
"It's okay Stella, well get you out of this." Iggy whispered on my ear, sending shivers down my spine. "I promise."
"Never make a promise you can't keep, Ig." I whispered back. "I have to do this, it's my destiny-"
"Cut the destiny crap out Stella, this is your life where talking about." He said in a whispery shout.
"You don't think I know that? Im doing this because im supposed to-"
"No your not, you're doing it to save me and The Flock. I know you." He cut me off yet again. He might be Iggy, but the next time he cuts me off like that, im going to knee him in his not-meant-for-kneeing area.
"No im not." I whispered.
"Yes, yes you are."
"No."
"Yes!"
"Enough! Quiet down now both of you. There's no saving here now Iggy, it's her fate." Jeb said. He wasn't really happy about me giving up my life for them, but I didn't care. I was not choosing the other option.
I looked around the room. I saw the director grinning evilly at me. That lady had a major bee up her ass, I swear. I also saw the Flock. They all had different expressions masked on their faces.
Fang looked-well; he didn't really look like anything. There's a shocker. Max looked curious, brave, and surprisingly scared. Angel looked like she wanted to cry, Nudge the same, and Gazzy looked like he could go for a Big Mac or two. I couldn't blame him.
I looked up at Iggy, and for once, his face was unreadable. Trying to play the tough guy act, huh? Typical.
But im getting ahead of myself. Im supposed to be giving you a introduction, right? Not the details of my public execution.
So, let's back it up a bit, shall we?
