It was the Seventh and final year of Hogwarts, School of Witchcraft and Wizardry. Hermione and Harry were enjoying their first day of the seventh year, alone in the boy dormitories.

"Hermione, why wont you?" Harry asked confidently, as Hermione was lying down next to him on His Bed, in the boys' dormitories, Gryffindor tower.

She turned on her side, so she could get a better view of Harry, she stroked his cheek affectionately, "We're in the Seventh year! We're still too young." Hermione suddenly sat upright on the bed, and sank back against the pillows. "I want my first time to be special."

Harry looked at his girlfriend, his affectionate eyes turning to confusion, "Special? What's special about-?" Harry got cut off as someone knocked on the door. "Who is it?" Harry asked as Hermione jolted to the wardrobe and hid inside it. "It's me mate." Ron said from outside the door "Why do you have the door locked-oh wait, don't tell me, I think I already know!" Ron said loudly, "Can you just pass me my broomstick? I've got Quidditch Practice." Ron said. Harry sprung up, got the broomstick, opened the door a crack, threw it to Ron and slammed the door. "You can come out now Hermione." Harry informed her.

Hermione looked down on the floor; she saw the bouquet of roses that Harry had given her as soon as he saw her on the Hogwarts express. She could smell the sweet, heavy scent. "Thank you for the flowers, Harry."

Harry beamed and muttered, "It was nothing." He stood up off the bed, and walked to the window. He glanced out and then looked back at Hermione. "Hermione, you can trust me."

"Yes, I know I can," Hermione said quietly but very clearly, "We're both Head boy and Head Girl." She walked over the window, next to Harry.

"You can trust me," Harry reassured her, and held her hand as they walked towards Harry's bed. Hermione pushed Harry on to it.

"I think I'm ready, Harry." Hermione said in a small strangled voice. She gave him a smile to show she wasn't as nervous as she felt. She tugged at Harry's tie and started unbuttoning his school shirt. She took off his glasses and threw them carelessly on the night stand.

"What are you doing?" Harry said quickly, getting up from where Hermione pushed him. He put on his glasses and stared questioningly at Hermione.

She looked at him, with a faint line creasing on her forehead. "Weren't we just talking about making love?" Hermione sighed and sat next to Harry. She drummed her fingers on his shoulder.

"Making love?" Harry questioned in surprise. He ran a hand through his messy jet black hair, making it even messier than it had been.

"Well that is what you want isn't it?" Hermione said the frown on the forehead getting deeper. She looked at Harry in shock and started tapping her foot on the polished, clean floor.

"Hermione, no wonder you didn't want to," Harry said slowly, thinking how could making love get on her mind, He took a step closer to Hermione.

"I was talking about improving your broomstick abilities; understand, the day that Voldemort arises-" He stopped as Hermione gasped at the dark lord's name.

Harry continued but did not take his eyes off Hermione, "When he rises, it's every man-or woman in your case-for themselves, we won't be able to fight him when he comes, he will be much too powerful taking on complete human form..." Harry finished, and he let out a long sigh.

Hermione's face flushed with embarrassment, she let out a simple "Oh," before she stormed out of the room in embarrassment.
