The man from the sky
A/N: Ok so since I am a (slightly (( ok very)) obsessive) doctor who fan I want to do a fanfic and i wanted to do like a little story of someone one I thought I could do this (its just one no chappies) and its basically liz 10 being told for the first time about the doctor.
Elizabeth sat on the rug in front of the holographic fire looking through a box of books, her farther and mother were very busy ( being the rulers of briton thats hardly surprising) and she had finished her lessons for the day and she was bored. Bored, bored , bored a maid had asked if she wanted to do some reading,
'We found these when cleaning out the attic miss Elizabeth and wondered if you would like to look through them' she had said.
'thanks Alice' elizabeth had said smiling.
However she had found them very dull so far. She turned a page about her ancestor Victoria and how she had started something called torchwood. There were a lot of intricate patterns around the edge of the pages, most of them comprising of plants or animals but on this page something in a corner caught Elizabeths eye. It was small and square and blue with what seemed to be a light on top.
'Alice?' she said taking the book over to her
'yes miss?'
'Whats this? she asked pointing, alice looked closely, and smiled.
'you'll have to ask your mother miss.'
'Oh.' said Elizabeth surprised that it was so important, 'ok'
She waited till her mother came in (a whole hour) and ran up to her,
'mummy whats this, Alice said that I needed to ask you?' She made her eyes huge and stared pleadingly at her mother. Her mother looked back, smiled and sat down.
'Come here.' she said patting her knee, Elizabeth climbed up and sat there smiling up at her mother feeling very excited that she would find out about some mystery.
Her mother told her about a man, a man, whom some of their ancestors had met, the same man though he had been seen with many different faces, a man whom was both knighted and exiled by queen victoria at the same time and man who came and went in this blue box that could appear any time any where and vanish just quickly. A man who saved the world from a thousand dangers and creatures. A man called the doctor.
And she told elizabeth, who would some day be queen, to watch for this box for if she ever saw it then a darkness could be creeping through the nation at that time, and that she would need this man.
