I don't know how I even got into this.

Is what I thought as I carried weak limp sick girl in my arms.

"Oh miel, it's a little cold to be outside?" I asked, with my silly Cajun accent.

"I find it warm enough for you to stop worrying." the small girl I was shouting out to , at the end of the small route responded. "My dear, the only thing you should be worrying about is the cold." My laugh echoed down the dark, shadow swallowing alley. "I'm not concerned about a simple everyday sickness." the sweet voice responded. Her laugh making the hairs on the back of my neck almost stand up. "Why don't I get you home Mlle?" I offered foolishly. "The trip wouldn't be very long." the sound of boots hitting the cement came closer. "Ah, what a fate for such a young woman." I chuckled, hoping to lighten her spirits. My body tensed up. Perfect, this girl was only a mere teen, fourteen tops. "Now scurry along." she growled. "Oh, I insist, you should stay in a warm house tonight." I insisted. My stomach growled for her, a small girl, who obviously meant nothing to society. "Piss off!" she yelped. "I don't need your charity." she muttered bitterly. "Listen!" I barked, grabbing her ice cold arm. I groaned in pain, as she kicked my knee angrily. "That was pretty good for a human." I laughed tauntingly, grabbing her head, caressing her until her neck came closer. "It will be the death of you!" she screamed furiously, before I sunk my razor like fangs into her soft neck. "Gah!" I hissed, spitting the flavorless liquid out. This girl was a vampire, but why couldn't I smell it? "Alexandra." she nodded once, walking over to me slowly, her blue eyes glowing in the dim light. "Anatole Le-" I stopped, blood spilled from her mouth, as she crumpled over.

What was going on?
