AN[This takes place when Dana thinks she pregnant]
Dana stood in her bathroom holding the white stick in her hand, it had a blue plus in the middle as she had expected, she was pregnant. She wanted to be happy and excited but, she felt worried and feared the father's reaction. Dana then reminded herself that this was what she wanted and was actually hoping for it to be positive. On the other hand she never planned on doing this alone and this was the reason she kicked Nick out, he was'nt ready for this.
She made up her mind while driving to work that she was going to find him and tell him right away. Dana proudly walked through the clinic doors and greeted Lana, "Godd morning, it's a beautiful day out is'nt it?". Lana was surprised by Dana'a cheerfulness, "yes, it is". Dana walked to her office and layed her purse and coat in the chair, then she walked back out the door and towards the ER, where she spotted Nick. He was working with a patient, she walked over to him, "may see you for a moment?" Nick knew by the tone in her voice that she was serious, "sure" he took off his gloves, "I'll be right back" he told his patient and walked off to the side with Dana.
"What is it?" he asked, Dana pulled the stick out of her pocket, "do you know what this is?" Nick gave her a smartass smile and answered with sarcasmism, "yeah, it's a pregnancy test". Dana gave him a snobby smile and wrinkled her nose, "Incorrect, Doctor Biancavilla, it's a positive pregnancy test" she handed it to him, "my positive pregnancy test, making it your positive pregnancy test too". Dana began to walk away not giving him any chance to express his feelings. "Dana?" he called, she stopped and slowly turned around, "yes?". Nick stood there not knowing what to say, "do you um, want this back?" he held the test out towards her, "nah, I've got the proof I need [pause] right inside", she then walked away from him.
Later that day, Dana was sitting in her office when there was a knock on the door, "come in". Nick slowly opened the door, "can we talk?" Dana just looked at him for a few minutes trying to decide if she wanted to hear what he had to say, "whatever for, Dr. Biancavilla?" Nick walked thought the door and sat down on the couch, "Dana I'm sorry I said I was'nt ready but, I've been thinking, even before we talked this morning and I've realized that I am ready, I just did'nt want to admit it to myself". Dana got up from her chair and sat down beside Nick, "I don't want to push you into anything, I can do this alone". Nick took her hand in his, "I don't want you to do this alone, we're going to do this together". Dana smiled, "Nick, let's not jump back into a relationship, I want to take this one day at a time". Nick nodded, he then leaned in and lightly kissed her on the lips. Dana stood up and motioned Nick to follow her out the door, "where are we going?" he asked, Dana smiled, "up to OBGYN". Lana smiled and spoke up from behind her desk, "do you want me to cancel your next appointment?" Dana knew that Lana probably heard most, if not all of their conversation, "yeah, cancel the rest of the day". Lu suddenly appeared from out of know where, "don't worry Dana, I'll take them", Dana smiled, "thanks Lu, I owe you". Nick took Dana's hand and they walked down the hallway together. Lana and Lu looked at each other and smiled, knowing their friends have found happiness.
Dana and Nick went on to rebuild their relationship throughout Dana's pregnancy. Everyone around them was excited about the baby, including Robert. Nick moved back in when Dana was about 5 months pregnant and the night their daughter, Courtaney Lee Biancavilla was born, he proposed, they married six months later.
