Chapter One
Grumbling incoherently, Gloria Richards pulled open the velvet blue curtains surrounding her bed. "Must hurt Luna…" A wide eyed blonde heard this and skittered out of the room quickly.
Gloria narrowed her light brown eyes. The disgruntled brunette stomped after her. The same blonde was sitting in the Ravenclaw common room in a slightly deflated navy beanbag.
Luna Lovegood's normally bulging blue eyes hiding with the rest of her face behind a copy of the Quibbler, 'Geriatric Aerobatic Lemikoos in Mortal Danger!!'. This headline was accompanied by a picture of a distorted Minister of Magic hitting a blue cat with seven legs and a tail made of green fire, with a stick.
Luna was doing her best to act normally. That was the problem. Everyone in Ravenclaw knew this wasn't her way. Besides, which her magazine was right side up. She never read the Quibbler right side up.
"Nice try Luna." Gloria stalked across the nearly empty room in her flowing green nightdress. Luna dropped the magazine into her lap. Her blue eyes even larger than usual.
"Pray tell…Why did you publish a large section of my diary in the latest issue of the…"
"I didn't publish it!" Luna started to defend herself. "My dad did!"
"How did he get it Luna?" Gloria snatched the copy of the Quibbler from Luna's lap and started flipping through it. "Did it occur to you that my diary is my little way of saying don't read this? It is my business alone."
Gloria stopped flipping through it and held it open for her to see. A two page spread entitled, 'Dragons and Giants! Run in Fear of the Mighty Lookal Bear!' A good 60 paragraph article.
"I'm sorry Gloria, but it mentioned a really rare and powerful creature!" Luna stood and took the magazine back, "after reading your diary, I must say that I'm quite impressed, you were able to stand up to such…" Luna stopped when she noticed that Gloria was shaking.
"Luna…My diary is fiction."
