Summer Solstice, 804 years BDL (Before Dismembered Lord)
At the most imperative instant Ifänduul had failed, he failed his friends, failed his commander, failed himself, worst of all he failed Pelor. He was so cold, his vision already blurring. The beast's grip was strong. It's physique long unable to feel the sting of fatigue. as it released its grasp Ifänduul fell first to his knees. It felt like an eternity but his throat, now the only warm piece of his body, pained him for a mere moment. He tried desperately the staunch the blood but it was too late, it had all happened so fast. Sieres, help me commander, damn it! Why did I go in first?
one minute ago:
The group had circled the building three times now with no luck of finding an entrance that wasn't blocked by a lot of furniture or magic. The leader of the paladin group, a Half-Giant by the name of Sieres, stomped his right boot in a futile attempt to hide his frustration smashing the paved cobblestone beneath.
"What do you mean 'there isn't a way in' Private? there's always a way in!" Sieres bellowed.
Ifänduul had been yelled at since he awoke and was feeling a bit miffed. Eyeing his commanding officer's proportionally large flail "I mean to say what I said Sir. The Vampire has barricaded the front entrance and appears to have used the Circle of Defense Against Good spell on the remaining two doors. WE cannot enter the premises." Ifanduul's flippant words only aided in furthering Sieres' awful mood.
Pursued by storms of unintelligible growls, guttural roars, and screaming (likely all in Giant) Ifänduul fled to the closest wall of the building their quarry resided in, turned, and prepared to roll under the incoming flail. As death by smashed face zoomed closer Ifänduul acted, he rolled to the left, drew his Greatsword, and was ready to fight the evil entity within.
A/N: Hehe I'm such a tease, I had an idea! I've been wondering if the characters in the story should have a native tongue that isn't English. I've currently decided on, Latin, below is where all the dialogue spoken/thought in each chapter will be placed.
"Quid est , non est in ' privatasque? ibi semper in !"- Sieres
"Ego dixi : Domine , quid est dicere . Insuper saltum impediebat et ante faciem portae quae Lamia usi circulo apparet et in duobus ostiis incantatores praesidia contra compararet . Non potest introire in premissis."-Ifänduul.
