Love is a strange thing and happens between many unsuspecting people.
Take Dr. Temperance Brennan and Special Agent Seeley Booth for example. They had worked together for many years and with every passing month their love blossomed, but still without the partners noticing. But the small things were obvious to close friends and family.
Like the way his hand was always at the small of her back, and the 'guy hugs' when she got scared, the way he was the one person she could trust with anything, his promises that he would never leave her. There were many others but they would take too long to write.
But they were still noticeable. Everyone could see it. Brennan's best friend Angela Montenegro was always leaving subtle hints that the pair belonged together. But the genius doctor couldn't see it, or so she said. Inside, deep within her heart she knew it was true.
And Booth, well he had known it for a long time but his fear of her rejection and ruining their friend-ship stopped him every time that he was about to express his love to her. It was eating him inside and his heart couldn't take any-more pain.
Many problems would arrive that the two would have to overcome, and they would, together. Relationships would come and go but the partners would stay together. Always . Until death forced them to part. And it almost had, several times.
Many more years would pass and they would fall deeper and deeper in love with each other. The two were so compatible that the few dates they went on (with other people) the date was able to sense the connection between the partners.
No matter how hard the cases got or how painful the emotional wounds got they were always there for each other. Through thick and thin, snow and hail, murders and Chinese food they were side by side.
The term 'just partners' should never be used between the two. They were friends, partners and lovers. And they were meant t be together, forever.
They just didn't know it yet.
And that's it. My first little fic that I wrote. As I said earlier please review and tell me whether or not you liked it.
