Titles

Popular in our time, unpopular in his. So runs the stereotype of rejected genius.

The Doctor hated his titles sometimes. Well not all the time because you had to admit some of them were pretty cool. Except the downfall of the bad ones that plagued him and taunted him in the few moments of the precious sleep of a Time Lord. The Destroyer of Worlds. That was a whopper. I mean he knew he was, shadows of the long dead whispering that in his memory all the time. He tried so hard to help people, because maybe, just maybe if he saves enough people, his demons can finally give him silence and peace that he craves.

Maybe that's why he brings them with him, his little friends, pals, chums, buddies, companions. So they can tell him those hurtful words that people throw at him sometimes are not true. And when he shows them the wonders of the universe so he can remember again that feeling of wonder so he can for just a moment put a pause on this broken feeling that just won't leave him alone.

Many people assume that the feeling of despair that he feels will eventually fade and he will be alright again, most of the times there right, He is all right. Sometimes. The feeling though of despair? Oh no, it's never ever gone. The burning sensation inside his heart's is never gone. He the Oncoming storm, The destroyer of worlds, The lonely god, never fully heals, all because of those names the throw at him.

AN:

I thought up this little rambling when I saw that look on the Doctor's face at the near end of The Journey's end when Davros gave him the name of The destroyer of Worlds. But come one Davros, hypocrite much? You just tried to destroy ALL OF REALITY. Ok I'm done now. Review my lovelys.
