Prologue

You want to protect this world… but you don't want it to change. I walked slowly through the ruins, relishing every sight of destruction. The destroyed city, the smashed vehicles, and most of all- the dead people. Hundreds of dead bodies littered the road, or at least, what used to be a road. It was now more like a giant crater. The smell of ashes and the sight of smoke filled every area. I stopped, and looked down at the sight right in front of me. My former masters… now my former enemies. The Avengers… were no more. Their remains would stay there forever. There would no longer be any resistance from them. They were all puppets, tangled in strings…. And now they were broken- permanently. The shield was still intact however, standing out of the ground, shining brightly as ever. The red, blue, and white colors, the colors of America gleamed in the daylight. I picked it up, and slammed my fist into it. The force of the blow vibrated all over. I could see and hear the power of the blow, echoing through the city. This shield…. was strong…. but not strong enough… In a last attempt to destroy it, I blasted it. My fission ray bursted out of mouth and hit the shield. It couldn't hold any longer. The shield cut cleanly in half. I tossed the broken shield loosely, over the dead body of its owner. I stared at the body of Captain America for a long time and said, "You called me a puppet… and you were right. But now… I'm free…. There are…. No strings on me." I looked up at the sky and blasted a fission ray. The power of the blast shook through the air and made the ground shake.

"ALL HAIL ULTRON!" I roared as the rushing gush of nuclear energy gashed through the air.
