Another new school, I thought it would be okay but I was wrong. Three cheerleaders came out of no where and body checked me causing my books to fall to the floor. I used to be one of them. That was a long time ago.
"Gab wait up!" Ryan yelled from down the hall. The Evans family were opening a new club in Lima and gave my mom a job running it.
"Hey Ryan. What's up?"
"I saw what happened. Are you okay?"
"Yeah. Would you believe me if I told you those three girls used to be my best friends?" He looked at me like I was crazy. "Didn't think so."
"What happened?"
"The one with black hair found out I liked one of the other cheerleaders. She told everyone on the squad and then my mom transferred to Albuquerque." I looked over at him. "And the rest, as they say, is history." He laughed.
"Wow that sucks." Just then a football player ran right into Ryan.
"Oh sorry man. Are you all right? Did I hurt you?" The jock asked.
"No it's okay I'm good. Just shocked me a little."
"I'm really sorry. The name's Finn." He held out his hand.
"Ryan Evans." They shook hands. "And this is Gabriella Montez."
"I remember you. You used to be a Cheerio right?"
"Yeah till they found out I was gay. Santana used it against me."
"She's always been like that."
"Hey who is that?" Ryan pointed down the hall toward two football players.
"Huh. Oh they are Troy Bolton and Noah Puckerman, but he goes by Puck."
"Not that I'm interested but is Troy new here?" I asked Finn.
"Yeah he's been here since the beginning of the year."
"He's cute." Ryan blurted. Both Finn and I started laughing. "What?"
"Neither of them are gay." Finn pointed out.
"Finn!" Great one of my worst nightmares, Quinn Fabray. The captain of the Cheerios and my ex-best friend.
"Hey Babe."
"Who are you guys?" She looked at us. "Wait is that Gabriella? Why are you here?"
"My family opened up a new country club here in Lima and hired her mom to run it." Ryan stepped in.
"I'm sorry who are you?"
"I'm Ryan Evans."
"Oh. Well Finn I'll see you in glee." She walked off.
"Sorry about her." He said.
"It's okay, guess it's one thing I've got to face now that I'm back."
"If you need anything let me know." He smiled. Finn wasn't the same as I remembered. The bell rang and I headed off to class. By the time I walked in everyone was in their seats. The teacher saw me and sent me to the only empty seat which happened to be by Santana. Great
"Gabriella?" I turned in her direction.
"Yeah. Look I'm not in the mood for more teasing okay." I turned back around so I could listen to the teacher. A few minutes later a folded piece of paper landed on my desk.
Gabriella I'm sorry. I know that I hurt you but now that you're back I would at least like to be friends again.

"Wow." I whispered. When class was over everyone rushed out of the classroom. I got to my locker and felt someone come up behind me. I turned to see Santana.
"I wasn't gonna tease you anymore. Come by glee club after school. We could really use you're voice." She leaned in and kissed my check and walked off.
