It all happened when the Doctor came out of his TARDIS, he was on his own today. Clara had to stay home today to teach or whatever she was doing when she was not travelling with him, maybe cuddling with P.E. It looked like the man had been waiting for him for him the whole eternity. The noise of the TARDIS must have bring him out of his house, because that man knew the sound of the TARDIS, he travelled space & time, and he knew what that sound meant, bad news incoming, or confirmation of bad news anyway. "Of all the people I could meet it has to be you..." the Doctor said. His brand new grumpy face wouldn't trick the person in front of him because he knew who the Doctor was and the tricks he has up his sleeves, he knew what the Doctor has done too, and it brought back bad memories to his mind, though he didn't move, nor seemed angry or anything, he just said: "I knew you would come back someday..." The voice was calm and empty, no emotions was coming out from his words, as if he was expected the Time Lord from a long time now. "You're older than the last time though..." Older yes, even his previous self saw it has a calamity, turn grey and having an old voice, now he got used to be like he was, grumpy and a bit darker than before, Clara had noticed that and got accustomed to this new him, though it did took some time. The Doctor's face stayed blank, chocked to see the man so calm in front of him. "And you look so calm, like you always did, never got angry if I remember, even if you would have all the reasons in the Universe to hate me..."
During a moment, it seemed that a hint of anger and of sadness came into the eyes of the man, but it quickly went away as if it never happened. "Oh but I did Doctor.. Because you made a promise and you broke it. Then I stopped, because I knew that it won't bring them back to me, and because you can't do anything to reverse the things..." The Doctor pursed his lips, as if he was nervous. "It wont no… Nothing can bring them back Brian, not even me, especially not me..." Straightening his jacket he went on. "I guess that I must tell you that Iam sorry… Because Iam, truly. Loosing Amy and Rory tore me apart." "Doctor, you must promise me something… That you won't let that happen to anyone again." A lot of images ran through the Doctor's mind as the speed of his hearts beatings increased. Rose Tyler, Martha Jones, Donna Noble, River, Amy, Rory, Clara… "Doctor ? Doctor… You must promise it wont happen again..."
The Doctor said nothing to that. Because he couldn't promise such a thing any more. Because he knew that the adventures with him were known to end pretty bad. "I'm sorry, Brian..." That was all he said before opening the door of the TARDIS and going aboard, leaving Brian Williams to his thoughts in the night. A tall man stepped out of the dark, and came patting Mr Williams' shoulder. "He will do his best, grand-father..." Brian slowly turned his face to meet his grandson's gaze. Grandson, he would never get accustomed to the fact that the older guy was his grandson. "I know Anthony… And that's what frightens me the most."
