Umbrella

Perseus Jackson visited his mom in their apartment in New York City. He wasn't able to see his mom for the last 3 years. He's been training, going to quests, hanging out with his friends, and taking care of Mrs. O'Leary.

Now it was winter and its Christmas Eve so his mom would probably come home early.

'It's really weird that today was Christmas Eve and it's not yet raining snow.' He thought.

He was sitting on the couch, watching TV. He's been nibbling blue cookies since morning but until now there are still plenty of them. He averted his gaze at the window. It was sunny outside, and it looks like its summer. So he decided to go outside and have a little stroll for exercise. Assumingly, his mother will be home at around 5:00 pm so he got an hour to wander around.

When he was having his leisurely walk in the outskirts of town, he heard a loud roaring of thunder. He looked at the sky and noticed stratus clouds covered the sun.

'Looks like it's going to rain, I better head home.' He thought.

Well, I don't think Poseidon and Zeus agree with Percy. Before he could arrive home, the heavy rain poured down and cold wind blew.

'Thanks a lot!'

He rushed to a nearby store to let time pass, since it's raining really hard and the cold wind blew so it's a bit freezing outside. Looks like fate isn't on his side, it's been raining for about an hour and a half, but for him it's like 5 hours.

He was cursing under his breath; it's either Greek or English. Then a blonde passed by the store, which caught his attention.

The girl has a curly blonde hair that was tied in a ponytail. She has a slim figure and was wearing a denim jacket with plain pink shirt as her inside shirt and black denim shirt. It was actually un-Annabeth like but she looks just like her.

Even in a hard rain, he followed the girl, quietly. It's a bit stalkerish but he got really curious if that girl was really Annabeth. They kept walking. He wasn't exactly wet since he can decide if he wants to get wet or not. He let himself be a little wet. After minutes of walking, they arrived at Percy's apartment.

A smile crept in Percy's face. Sure enough, the girl he's been following was Annabeth. Before the girl reaches the front porch of their apartment, he grabbed her umbrella away from her. The girl faced the boy.

Stormy gray eyes met sea green orbs.

"Percy?"

"Annabeth, what are you doing here?"

"Before I answer that, give me back my umbrella. I'm getting wet!"

"Oh no Annie, you'll have to get it from me."

He chuckled and ran away from Annabeth. Annabeth chased Percy and "tried to" reach the umbrella, but failed to because Percy was now way taller than her. After 30 minutes of playing and chasing each other, Percy got this brilliant idea. He grabbed Annabeth and leaned in for a kiss. The rain stopped and a rainbow can be seen from afar.

Percy broke the kiss but his face was still close to Annabeth's.

"I love you, Wise Girl. And I'm really glad you're here."

Annabeth smiled and kiss him on his cheek.

"I love you too, Seaweed Brain but can we go inside now? As you can see I'm dripping wet."

Percy chuckled and they went inside the apartment hand in hand.
