Keith looked up into the darkened night sky.
He swallowed hard, wondering why.
Why did she have to leave so soon?
Nothing could dull his pain, not hardly the moon.
A ranger's job is to protect.
So why did she leave his heart wrecked?
Why did Kate cause him so much pain?
Would life ever be the same?
A gentle breeze, a lonely wish.
That not even he, could distinguish.
