Sally's eyes flared as her husband yelled at her about her meatloaf. Percy had gone, and she looked at Gabe, thinking of how she was going to get him to look at Medusa's head in the perfect position.

Suddenly, an idea came to her, just as the timer on the stove beeped. Just in time.

She went to Percy's room and made sure to look away as she took the 'tool' from it's box and went downstairs, making sure Gabe didn't look her way.

Not yet.

Hurrying to the kitchen, she grabbed her jar of change from the top of the refrigerator, where Gabe had never thought to look. She doubted he ever thought about anything.

Sally jingled the coins in her hand, sure enough, her husband responded.

"Hey, Sally!" He called in that voice she had loathed ever since she had married him. "Hand me some coins for my game." Sally wrapped aluminum foil around the 'tool' and called out,

"Coming, dear."

She remembered the meatloaf, took it out, and was relieved to see she hadn't burnt it.

"Hurry up!" Gabe called.

"On my way." Sally shouted back. She went into the living room and held her breath. The smell of beer was in the air, add that to the long list of dislikes about Gabe. The only good thing about him was… she couldn't think of anything. He drank, smoked, gambled, stunk, was messy, never cleaned up after himself, bullied her son, abused her, wasn't very appreciative, never did anything for her, and also always left the toilet seat up and always seemed to miss the actual toilet. It was going to be good, having him out of her life.

She walked behind one of her husbands friends, the one right across from Gabe.

"Look honey, I made a giant meatloaf ball in honor of you and your….er… success in getting Percy out of our lives."

"Yeah, well, great. Maybe when I'm done eating it, you should clean up this place. I though girls were supposed to be organized." He sneered.

"Of course." She said the words through gritted teeth.

She hesitated, unwrapping the 'meatloaf.' Was Gabe really bad enough to kill?

YES! A voice screamed in her head.

He is another human being, just like you. Another voice whispered.

Just one thing allowed her to finish the job.

Sally Uglaino.

"Look, dear." When Gabe looked up, he was throwing in two poker chips, and holding his cards with his other hand. His lip was curled at her. She was nothing but a slave to use.

In a minute, Sally's husband was a very detailed statue. His poker friends stared at him in shock. One looked at his beer can suspiciously.

"Get out of my house." Sally said, covering the head up with a blanket she saw on the ground. Soon she was alone.

Sally smiled to herself as she looked at Gabe. Taking out her cell phone, she snapped some pictures to put on the internet later. There was no way she was keeping it. She would sell it, maybe get some extra cash and have some fun for once.

Her life was finally looking up.
