"Mom, Dad, I'll be right back, I just have to see this one thing before the store closes," said a girl who looked 15.
"Okay Carm, we'll be waiting over here," said the girl's mother.
The girl wandered into a shop nearby while her parents seemed to start a heated argument.
"Ed, you know here birthday is coming up and she'll be fifteen. She has also been doing well in school," said the girl's mother to her husband.
"I know Ann, but we only have a few galleons left in savings and you know how expensive Firewood is," said the father, "we don't have the money we used to."
It appeared the family had been having some financial difficulty, as if they had lost their fortune. But why, Harry couldn't figure out. This had been another one of his strange dreams. The fighting between the two adults did not stop. His attention was now on the girl in the store. She had brown curly hair and deep brown eyes. It appeared she was looking at a sweater she had wanted. She then digged deep down into her pocket and only found a few lousy knuts.
"Keep saving Carm," she said to herself in a disappointed voice. She then turned around and looked at other items before leaving the store.
Harry then looked outside the store. It had not been a place he recognized. It was not London, but it was a city. He thought this might have been New York City, but had no proof to back that up.
Once again he heard the adults fight.
"I just want what's best for her," said the man, "there are not many wizarding schools she can attend. If we don't pay for Firewood, then she'll end up in some muggle school with little knowledge of her ancestry.
"I know Ed, I just wanted her 15 birthday to be as special as ours." The woman had replied back to the man. "She has never even complained about our situation,"
"You think I want her to be unhappy! Ann, don't worry about it, we'll figure something out."
"Okay"
Their conversation died down a bit. The girl stepped out of the store and was in her parents view. A man in a black cloak with his hood up started toward them.
"Ed, do you think its him?" asked the woman
"I don't know, take this and leave," the man gave her the little money he had and went to fight the man.
Ann refused to leave. She had told the girl to hide. She hid behind an alleyway. The man in the cloak waved his wand and shouted one of the unforgivable curse, "Avada Kedrva"
There was a flash of green light and the girl's parents were on the ground dead. Harry woke up. His scar was burning.
