One by one she watched each of them as the settled into their new home. Although, she didn't think they were staying long. As soon as the remaining guards had locked their door, *which was easy to unlock, for her* they started to yell and sulk, at one guy in particular. He sat on one of the cots with his head in his hands in a sitting position. He let out a huge sigh and looked at them. Since the glass wasn't that thick she could hear what they were saying.
"Look, guys, I'm doing the best I can all right? There's only so much I can do.", he said. Than he sat away from the others, close to the glass wall. He was thinking, she decided. He must be the leader. And in her mind she sang a song she heard one of the guards listening to early one morning:

Doesn't have a point of view (not yet anyway. Heehee)

She looked back at him. He looked so frustrated. Kinda like she herself felt.

Then he looked up. But he seemed to look past her with those dark brown eyes of his. Eyes that see can look into all day.

He sighed and this time looked straight into Hazel's eyes. Even though she was embarrassed from staring at him she forced a smile. Wow, she thought, he must have a lot of pressure on his hands for a kid.

After a slight hesitation he smiled back. And Hazel finally felt some warmth in her life. But than the moment stopped and he went back to thinking. she frowned and continued her song..........

Than she stopped and gasped when she caught sight of the window. It was near nightfall. Time for her tests..................................
