Hermione walked through the halls one last time, reminiscing on the good, the bad, and the ugly. Dumbledore's Army and along with others have been working together over the summer to help reconstruct the castle. Classes had to be cancelled, funerals held, and prisoners taken but eventually everything was slowly coming back into place. She waved her wand at one fallen brick as the massive rock lifted up and shimmied itself back into its place. She turned the corner to see Ron and Harry making their way over to her.

"Everything alright down there?" Hermione asked.

"Couple of missing pieces but nothing we haven't been used to by now" Ron informed her, "Can't believe you want to go back for your last year"

Hermione scoffed, "And you don't"

"No" both Harry and Ron responded.

"Well, can't say I'm not surprised" Hermione shrugged, "You've both been offered Auror titles after the battle"

"You did too" Ron snaked his hand in hers.

"I still can't believe I'm leaving this place for good" Harry glanced up from the hall to the ceiling, "I've learned so much here and I've grown… Hogwarts is my home"

"The Wizarding World is your home now" Hermione turned and grabbed onto her friends hand, "Never forget that"

Hermione smiled at Harry as he did his shy grin of noticing that he was talking too much. She turned but then stopped when something felt different in the air, almost stuffed with electric energy. Ron and Harry both turned to her to ask what was wrong but then stopped as they both were looking over her shoulder. Hermione turned to see dust and wind were slowly gathering from down the hall they had come, creating something. She turned herself around as Ron gently placed his hand on her stomach and moved her back behind him.

A sudden snap of a crackle erupted as a blinding light shot out of the hallway, making Hermione yelp. Without a second's hesitation, she grabbed her wand and aimed it at the dust that had gathered, confused about what was going on. Her friend's did the same, wands drawn and waiting for the smoke to clear. Ron swirled his wand as a wind of his own cleared the area to reveal three bodies lying on the ground.

The man with a half-shaved head and barbaric braid was the first to get up as he looked at his surroundings before picking himself up off of his feet. He gently nudged the two women awake and helped them off of the floor, the blonde one was about to speak when she noticed the trio standing at the end of the hall. She reached out and grabbed onto the barbarian man who finally noticed them standing there.

The man looked to them and took a step closer to them, making the trio take a step back. He seemed confused on their stance to fight so he was the first one to speak.

"Were you not the one who summoned us?"

"Summon you?" Ron asked in a high- voice, "We don't even know who you are?!"

"My apologies" the man bowed, "My name is Godric Gryffindor, these are my two friends Rowena Ravenclaw and Helga Hufflepuff"

"No…" Hermione lowered down her wand, "It can't be"

"You're the founders" Harry dropped his wand down to his side.

"That is right" Helga looked down to their clothes, "What Age is it?"

"Huh?"

"She means the year" Hermione turned to Ron, "It's 1998"

"1998?!" Rowena yelled out, "We jumped through that much time?!"

The founders looked just as shocked as the trio were as they glanced from one to another. Then in unison, they cupped their faces and whispered some long and ancient spell that even Hermione couldn't recognize as they moved their hands over their face. The spell glowed a light shimmering gold on their faces as they smoothed out their hair. Once that was down their heads shined for a couple of seconds before it went back to normal. The trio's looked to each other and back to the founders, wondering what has happened.

When the founders opened their eyes, they seemed more put together and less confused about their surroundings. It was then that Helga Hufflepuff noticed that she was in a thick cloak and pulled it off. Rowena seemed almost dazed as if something that she had just did to herself made her feel sorrow. Godric was the first to speak one's more as he pulled off one of his cuffs.

"Are there anymore extra clothes lying about?" Godric asked, "I can not wait to put on some jeans"

"Jeans?" Harry asked, "How do you know what those are?"

"We did a history spell" Helga said, "Works when one jumps through time, we have only heard of it but never thought to try it"

Rowena spoke, "But still… we are thousands of years away from our normal timeline and these pupils do not seem to know why we are here. Who summoned us and why?"

Hermione nodded with the bright witch as her friends looked to her. She's never heard of summoning the dead in flesh and bone through time and space. She hated to admit it but someone had to have been very powerful in order to have done something like this. From the looks on their faces, Harry and Ron were just as surprised to be in front of the founders as well. Rowena was right to worry about who had summoned them.

"We don't know" Hermione said slowly, "But we can take you to someone who might know"

"Oh, come on, Hermione" Ron groaned, "McGonagall is going to kill us after this one"

"She's the only one who can help" Hermione turned to him, "Besides, what do you want to do? Hide the three founders of Hogwarts, honestly, Ronald-"

"Take us to this McGonagall?" Helga spoke up, "But please find us some clothes first, I'm starting to wonder why our age was filled with petticoats"

"Right away… Miss Hufflepuff" Harry stammered.

"Helena… her ghost is here" Rowena closed her eyes, "I can sense her even though she's farther away"

"We can go and speak with her if you would like" Godric said slowly.

"No" Rowena shuddered, "She has carried thousands of years with of resentment toward me. It has made her mad"

Helga took a step toward her friend as she felt an overwhelming sense of pity for her. Rowena knew it was her love that drove Helena away and even as a ghost, she would not accept it. Helga looked up to Godric for help but he simply couldn't give anything but a sigh and a gentle urge towards the three younger children. Helga held onto Rowena's hand for a long time before the three pairs stood together in a small crowd. They all looked to each other as they now had a bigger mystery to discuss.
