A WWE fanfiction
All characters are © to the WWE. Story © Laurie Lemaire. This is just a fanfic in progress that I am entertaining as a manga idea that will make me NO MONEY. Don't sue me! Just a bit of a note, this fanfic is written as though the superstars were the REAL PEOPLE. There are no 'real life' counterparts. Edge is Edge, not Adam Copeland, etc. Just a bit of clarification.
Prologue
"You don't get it, do you?!" He kicked Edge in the stomach, watched with some amount of perverse satisfaction when his brother coughed up blood and spittle. Again, he lashed out at his elder sibling, venting his frustrations and his anger on the one he believed was the cause of it all, "You're the one that betrayed me! You betrayed me and our Country!" Christian released Edge's hair and watched without pity as Edge struggled to remain upright.
"No...you don't understand...I didn't mean to--" Edge wasn't afforded the opportunity to finish his sentence as a hand was slapped sharply against his face, marring the once beautiful visage. "Christian..." He muttered softly, staring up at his brother with a pained and sad expression on his face.
"SHUT UP!" Christian screamed as he threw himself upon Edge and pummeled the already battered and bruised body to the point of cruelty. "Just shut up! You...you..." For a moment, Christian got a good look at Edge's facial expression and hesitated. His closed fist hovered centimeters from Edge's face, wavering ever so slightly. Despite his malicious intentions, the sight in front of him that he himself was causing was enough to make him pause. "I..." He stammered, confused for a moment. Shaking his head, Christian lowered his hand and shoved himself back to his feet. "That's enough for now..." He turned on his heels and hastily walked the other way, taking only the briefest of moments to look over his shoulder and watch Edge collapse completely to the floor, unconscious. 'What am I doing..? Why...did I stop? I...' He continued on his way, heading for the parking lot where his vehicle had been waiting for him for some time now. Christian needed some fresh air and a place where he could be alone with his thoughts. So much had changed over the past year and he needed to mull it all over. The look on his brother's face, the look of sheer pain hit Christian on a level he never thought possible. He had thought himself immune to Edge's feelings since he alienated himself from him shortly after Edge's victory at King of the Ring. Tonight, however, he was proven wrong. He couldn't do the dirty deed; he couldn't bring himself to completely cripple his sibling despite the hatred fueling his every being. Blinking, Christian noticed the moisture creeping down his face. Bringing his left hand up, he wiped away a solitary tear.
