"Tragically during the fight a stray arrow pierced his dragon's heart. Without the arts to save her she died in his arms. Then seeds of madness were planted."
Galbatorix sighed anytime he looked at the shining silver tapestry. It was too much for him. The world had thrust everything he wanted in life at him then ripped it away violently, replacing it with a cheap imitation. He still thought about that terrible night, no matter how hard he tried to forget it.
Flash back
"NO!" screamed Galbatorix as he felt a fiery pain in his chest that could only mean one thing-his dragon was hurt.
Slicing off the Urgals head, he wheeled and made a sprint for his beloved dragon. He was almost there but death was faster. He held his soul as he felt it trickle away. Tears ran down his face as he whispered, "Please. Don't leave me. I love you." He winced as the pain burned hotter. "Goodbye little one. I love you." she said. Starring up at the sky, he screamed. He screamed at the world. He screamed at the heavens. He screamed at the little Silver Star that was blinking down sadly at him.
End of flashback
Suddenly an electric jolt went through him. His sanity fought its way through the dark clouds of his mind, and he cried out in shock. Just then a servant came in and told him that Eragon and Saphira were in Uru'baen. He hopped on Shruikan and flew out to meet them, figuring out what to say and how to restore peace to the land.
